I love Warframe. I love how deliciously fucked up it is and how it looks almost normal on the surface but the moment you try to dig for more you find the layers of absolute what-the-fuckery that compose this game’s lore. I love how it started as War Crime Mommy Lotus and the Tenno but now we also have Deeply Traumatized guy from a different reality who saves War Crime Mommy Lotus and the Tenno. And now Deeply Traumatized guy is sort of part of the Tenno but sort of not. I love that this is also the same game wherein we have Six Dudes Chilling In A Mall Five Feet Apart ‘Cause They’re Not Gay. The Not Gay guys adopt Deeply Traumatized guy and teach them how to be a human, since they forgot. Deeply Traumatized guy may have saved the Origin System but they do not know what a sheep is.

the year is 1999. the local nonbinary glam rocker is holding a concert and the local christofascist cult commander is slinging transphobic rhetoric at them over loudspeaker while his troops march in to shut the venue down. suddenly, a medieval french priest zooms in on a motorcycle, backflipping off of it before it explodes in a glorious ball of flame. the priest looks one of the commander's cameras dead in the lens and says, "you are a heretic. god is genderfluid, and fascists go to hell. also, the voices in my head say you're a little bitch." he then whips himself twice with a thurible, pulls out an assault rifle, and mows down the remaining troops, yelling about penance and suffering all the while. just another tuesday in the zombie apocalypse
