My good friend sent this to me, and I'm afraid I won't be able to act like a normal person for the forseeable future. There was new merch for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Cafe event, and I am stuck on one particular image:
The stands all look proportionally accurate, and LOOK at the size difference between Seto and Katsuya!! I'm going nuts over it! XD
The details of the event can be found here, but I've just been fixating on this one fact like the rabid yaoi fangirl I am. 😅

Basic Fandom Etiquette Everyone Needs to Remember:
Creators do not owe anyone content. Do not ask writers when they will update.
If an author did not ask for [negative] criticism , do not give criticism.
Read the tags carefully before reading a fanfic.
If you ignored the tags and were upset, that is your responsibility, not the creator’s.
Disliking a ship does NOT give you the right to attack people who enjoy it.
Do not tell authors or shippers that their ship is “disgusting,” “wrong,” or “shouldn’t exist.” Shipping fictional characters is not a moral failing.
No one is obligated to justify why they ship two fictional characters.
Headcanons are PERSONAL interpretations, not universal truth.
Dark themes in fiction do not equal real life beliefs or intentions.
Leaving kudos or short positive comments genuinely matters.
Not every fanwork is made for you, and that is okay.
Scrolling past content you dislike is better than engaging negatively
Enjoying a fandom later than others does not make someone less of a fan.
Disliking a fanfic does not entitle you to announce that to its creator. Sending hate comments to authors is NEVER justified, even if you disliked the work.

Rules:
1. Works must be queer-centric - whether that means including queer characters, relationships, themes, issues or conversations. All identities are honored and valid in this event. Any exclusionary themes, language, tags or concepts will result in your work being removed from association with this event.
2. Works must capture the weekly prompt for that week - we encourage creators to use at least one of the "weekly emotions" as a core part of their creation.

guys I need help. I need help it's 2026 and I still can't perceive 1x2. that's how bad my math is. I do not see the vision. I've been wandering around this fandom for twenty six godforsaken slutty years wondering what the fuck everyone is talking about. i'm mystified by the Duo Maxwell that everyone on earth seems to know except me. I like Duo! Neat guy! No relation to the Duo I keep meeting at my friends' houses! Who is this boy? He seems nice! Where's he from? Where did you find him? I dunno! I have never known! And the truest ship of the fandom's truest heart is 1x2! I feel like I have fundamentally missed a cue that was obvious to the rest of humanity! It is twenty twenty six! Help me! Explain it to me like I was a child. A child whose favorite character was Treize Khushrenada; an alien child deposited into a human classroom at nine years old who accidentally imprinted on the adult war criminal in a cast of more age-appropriate pretty boys. Explain it to me. Is there hope for me doctor. Can I ever be normal. How bad is it. What supplement am I missing. Give me eyes that I may see the 2's multiplication table starting at 1.
I have thoughts, and I'm putting them here because they are LONG. lol
Oh, DAMN, this is a loaded question...
So, why Duo, first of all? I honestly couldn't tell you. There was something about him that appealed to me as a 12-year-old undiagnosed autistic child with severe trauma. He's exactly what I love in a blorbo: a diminutive guy who kicks all the ass available to him and also manages to get himself into life-threatening situations. I think by the time we see him getting the shit kicked out of him on the Lunar Base, I'd claimed him as mine. Like yup, that's my baby right there!
Who can really say why any of us attach to the characters we choose? They speak to something in us. With Duo and myself, I like his aesthetic. I like his style. I like his spirit. Why? Dunno! He occupies a corner of my soul and I want to see him tortured into happiness. And Deathscythe Hell EW version is THE GOAT for me. Peak mech design. 10/10.
Now, with 1x2, it’s a bit more complicated, and I’m gonna have to get extremely candid here. As an undiagnosed autistic child with severe trauma who was ALSO working on several levels of queerness and had no idea, gay ships appealed to me from the start. I always rooted for the underdog ships, the ships between people you might look at and go, “Not in a million years.” My support of gay shipping was only galvanized by my aversion to het shipping, as instilled by early experiences that implanted into my brain that a man holding power over a woman in any way was dangerous.
Men were threats, from my perspective – but that threat was neutralized if they would simply go and fuck each other. At 12, it would be years before I’d discover femdom, so shipping strictly gay ships was the only way I could safely explore any form of sexuality. It was a way for me to feel powerful. Putting a fictional man through the same things women endure – assault, harassment, pregnancy, powerlessness – was a way for me to feel less like prey, myself. And in the course of this exploration, I bonded with those ships. I took comfort in them. 1x2 was my very first gay ship, and it’s lodged DEEP in my heart because of that.
Why do I think Heero and Duo work together, specifically? Much as with my answer concerning Duo: because they make me feel happy. I love the synergy between them. I love the snark. The way Heero’s playful side comes out in glimpses (the scene where he takes out that MS that was coming up behind Duo, then laughs about that taking care of his debt, that was SO freaking cute). I love how they work so seamlessly together as a team. They trust each other. Watching Heero turn the controls over to Duo in EW because he trusts his piloting skills? Watching them working together to find Relena? It makes my heart melt!
It is unfortunate that you can’t really talk about 1x2 without addressing the rampant misogyny and heterophobia that continue to scar the ship to this day, but I believe that progress can occur. 1x2 shipping continues to serve as a safety net as I explore non-queerness and the healing of old hurts. I left the fandom as a teenager because of the 1xR/1x2 ship wars. I didn’t understand why we couldn’t simply ship and let ship, why people had to fight over something so trivial. It is saddening to see it happening afresh even with new fans, but I hope that someday we can be free of the things that hold us back. I hope we can all realize that we’re adults now, and we don’t have to fight over imaginary blorbos having imaginary sex.
If it seems like I spent more time talking about myself than about the ship, it’s because you have to look at the people who ship in order to understand. I can give you every single thing I love about them, and I still don’t think it would truly show you WHY. It’s something that requires deeper analysis. It’s also something that varies from person to person. For me, 1x2 was a coping mechanism. They are a comfort. They were a way for me to make sense of being “other” in a time when I still didn’t fully understand why I felt that way. And I suspect that it’s similar for a lot of the old 1x2 diehards. When something finds its way into your heart at that crucial stage of formation, it’s almost certain to remain forever.
I’m not here to convert you; in fact, I encourage everyone to sail the ships that make them happiest. We all attach to characters and ships in our own way and for our own reasons. If Treize makes you happy, then I hope he will continue to be your best blorbo for as long as he serves the purpose! I know the feeling of being on the outside looking in, wondering why it seems there’s a barrier between you and the rest of the world. But when it comes to the characters you love, I hope you never allow that feeling to take them from you. Even if you are the one person in the world who is rooting for that character, I hope you support them wholeheartedly!

Asuka finally arrived!! Now the Kaiba family is complete! (The first thing she did upon becoming a resident was try to cook with her brother; it did not go well lol)
Mokuba has yet to move into the house, but he's getting there.
First attempt at Invader Zim in Tomodachi Life! If anyone has a better build, I'm all for it. I just wanted the eyes to emote, so I'm playing around with the options.

starting to see a personal trend of ot3s being "male protag/canon female lover with nicely developped relationship/male narrative foil with whom sex would be less gay than what they have going on"
