“Fuego Del Sol is dead. KJ lives.”
( exclusive to @genesisrpx )
Once known as Fuego Del Sol, a happy go lucky young luchador that captured the hearts of fans on AEW programming, those days are long over. Tired of being complacent, doing what he’s told just to get a small taste of a spotlight he’s been owed, KJ decided to kill Fuego Del Sol in April of 2025 officially. However, Fuego Del Sol has been dead since July of 2023 when AEW decided not to pick up his contract. Creative differences and a few injuries, KJ wasn’t at all surprised.
Down on his luck, KJ took a long and hard look in the mirror and almost gagged at what he saw. He decided that a change not only needed to be made on how he had presented himself for 11 years. What did he have to show for it? Followers. Popularity.. but at what cost? Was Fuego Del Sol the only way to connect with the people? He considered retiring from it. KJ left his boots in the ring when he revealed who he was beyond the mask.. but the thought didn’t last but a single day.
KJ returned weeks later and cemented the new agenda by turning on his partner, Sam Stackhouse. Ever since and greeted with a sea of boos, he’s established himself as a smug, arrogant, sometimes over confident main guy in GCW and across the independent wrestling scene. Deep down though, he’s still a decent guy. He isn’t far from the guy you see streaming on Triller TV.
The real KJ has two daughters and is married but out of respect of their privacy, this portrayal will only mention them in passing. I believe they’re 9 and 7 but kj only posts in character these days so there’s no way of actually knowing. For the sake of the portrayal that’s what we’re going with.
