Eu Rin stared at her husband. Married for 3 months and not once had Park Jinyoung done something stupid. She continued to stare at the man sitting in the emergency room, counting.

“Eu Rin…” She breathed out through her mouth. Jinyoung shifted. He wasn’t stupid. At least not right now. He knew what her breathing in response to his words meant – even if he had only encountered her anger directed at him a few times in the three years they have known each other. She wasn’t counting to bring herself to calm. She was counting so she didn’t end up in jail for murdering her husband – who was currently holding onto his forearm.

“Why are you bleeding?” she asked, hoping there was a good reason for the cut that warranted him coming into the hospital for stitches. Jinyoung pursed his lips and she let out a low curse. “At least lie to me and say you tripped and fell.  Jinyoung blinked.

“Technically, I did trip and fall…” she sighed. She could live with that. “…onto scissors.” She felt her eyes widen. “It is just a scratch!”

“Park Jinyoung!”

“I didn’t think I would trip onto the chair!”

“What do you mean, you didn’t think you would trip onto the chair? Oh my heavens, I married an idiot!” She spun before turning to look at him again. He had a stupid grin on his face.

“I may be an idiot, but I am your idiot, just remember that.” She rolled her eyes.

“Why did I agree to marry you again?”

“You love me.”

“I can’t believe you put the scissors onto that chair…this tops the time you said an iron is a good wedding gift when you tried to convince me to gift that to my dad and stepmom.”

“I stand by that statement.” She rolled her eyes as she glanced at the doctor who came into the room.

“And you remain an idiot.” She watched as he winced as the doctor cleaned the self-inflicted stab wound.

“Oh, come on!” Sehun jerked awake at the yell in the living room. He groaned as he looked around, confused. “You’ve got to be kidding me!”

“Calm down, Ja Kyeong…” he heard Junmyeon say. Sehun sat up and stood, stumbling slightly as he made his way to his bedroom door and into the living room. He yawned before sitting on the couch next to his girlfriend.

“What’s going on?”

“The ref didn’t make the call!” Sehun looked at Ja Kyeong before reaching for the remote. The resulting ice glare made him pause. He was not the usual recipient of the ice glare – Baekhyun’s girlfriend or her brother, on the other hand... Needless to say, he froze in his reach.

“Why are you so heated up? That isn’t your team.”

“Yeah, but the winner will be playing us next.”

“You mean, your team. You won’t be playing. You can thank your current health condition for that.”

“No one would have even considered benching me…if not for your fat mouth…” She slowly turned to look at him. “Maybe I should have stayed at my apartment instead of coming to hang out with you. Actually, I think I am going to leave –” She shrieked as Sehun pulled her back onto the couch.

“Nice try. And it wasn’t my fat mouth.”

“Then whose fat mouth?” Sehun kept his mouth shut. “So the blame remains solely on you.” She refocused on the tv. “Ok! Seriously?!” She grabbed her phone and Sehun rolled his eyes.

“Is she always like this?” Junmyeon asked. Sehun shrugged.

“Never really paid all that much attention to her reactions during the games, to be honest. Too busy defending myself with Baekhyun and Minseok at my shoulders.”

Hwi Young was mostly certain that she was joking. Mostly.

“Did you say you aren’t eating?” he asked, and his girlfriend looked at him, head tilted as she looked him in return.

“I need to lose weight for my photo shoot.”

“You’re not going to starve yourself. I don’t care about some photo shoot.” Joo Sa raised an eyebrow.

“Well, I do.” Hwi Young muttered. “Sorry, I don’t think I caught what you said.”

“I said, I don’t think you need to lose weight.” Joo Sa remained quiet as Hwi Young picked at his BBQ nervously. He honestly never knew what to expect when he said something like this. Sometimes, his model girlfriend wanted to kill him. Other times, she would melt and tell him she loved him.

“Why do you always get so touchy about this?” He looked up, not sure how to answer. He honestly didn’t know.

“I don’t know. I just…I don’t think…I guess…There should be a healthier expectation for people in the industry, you know?” he asked. She tilted her head, curious.

“Well, that is going to be a longer battle than is worth for me to not lose the weight I need to lose before this photo shoot.”

“At least have a salad.” She looked at him, unable to hold back the snort.

“Did you seriously just say to at least have a salad?” Hwi Young flushed.

“Yah! Just do what I say!” She giggled.

Sung Yi watched as Mark wolfed down yet another taco before raising his hand to get the auntie’s attention. He looked to her, pausing as he looked at her plate.

“Are you not hungry?” he asked. She looked down at the food, blinking as she noticed the food slipping from her fork.

“Are you starving or something?” she asked. He shook his head. She felt her face fall flat as she rolled her eyes. She scooped up some of the pulled pork and ate it, looking around the restaurant. “Just curious, do you like this little taco shop a lot?” she asked. Mark was starting to dig into his flan as she spoke.

“Um…I guess as much as I like any other restaurant in Korea. Why?” She shrugged.

“I don’t know. I guess I was wondering how we always end up here when we are hungry.”

“I mean, it is close by and it isn’t super expensive either.” She bobbled her head.

“Valid point. And the food is good, too.”

“Hey! I said not to walk away from me!” Jae yelled in frustration into the headphones. Hye Joo blinked as she looked up from the excel sheet on her computer. She leaned around the laptop in front of her to look at her boyfriend sitting in front of her tv.

“You are worse than my brother…” she muttered to herself, knowing the man wouldn’t hear her.

“I heard that.” She rolled her eyes. “I demand an apology for saying I am equivalent to the moocher.” She blinked.

“Ya! How do you hear that but when I ask you to get me toilet paper because there is no more in the bathroom, you can’t hear me?” Jae flushed.

“Babe, the speaker is on.”

“I don’t care.” She stood and walked over to him, watching for a moment before looking at him.

“Oi! Mark! Don’t walk away from me! ...Did you seriously just scold me about toilet paper?” Jae went redder for a moment before pausing the game. “Fine. I won’t demand an apology for the brother comment. Kiss?” He held out his hands. Hye Joo rolled her eyes before walking away.

“I have to finish my books.”

Normally, Hwi Young was quiet and Dawon was the loud one. Prior to their attempt to prank (and ultimate failure), Hwi Young and Taeyang both heavily stressed to their groupmate the importance of being quiet.

“So I have to be quiet.”

“Yes. You know how light of a sleeper Rowoon is!”

“Can you define how quiet I have to be?”

“Tripping isn’t even allowed. You know he would hear it. He hears things that happen all the way from the kitchen when he is awake.”

Dawon shook his head. “You know, we didn’t have to choose this time of day to prank him.”

“He would have seen it coming any other time.” Dawon sat quietly before slowly agreeing.

Fast forward an hour and Dawon and Taeyang were both giggling like schoolgirls.

“Let me get this straight. You three were trying to prank me.” Hwi Young huffed. “And while attempting to be quiet, you tripped over Youngbin’s dog.” Hwi Young flushed. He didn’t like the reminder.

“And he made such a huge fuss about me needing to be quiet, too!”

“You tripped over the dog and then proceeded to fall onto the trash can, which fell over, clattered, and woke up the whole dorm.” Taeyang was on the floor at this point, laughing hard enough to work off the calories he skipped earlier in the day.

“And you were worried about Dawon ruining the plan!” Dawon joined Taeyang on the floor.

“Are you really going to ignore me until I admit it?” Lily huffed. Jackson Wang, it turned out, was a pain in the behind. Not that anyone would know this. “’I’m not listening until you admit it.’” Her nose scrunched. “Well, if you aren’t listening, how do you know someone has admitted to anything?” she grinded out. Jackson remained in the seat next to her, dutifully listening to her mumbling. The smell of sweat and leather was oddly not what was making him squeamish – though it made for a curious smell, if you added in the residual smoke that lingered in the air. No. It was the detective sitting next to him, not at all freaking out about sitting on a chair he was certain should have been covered before she sat it in, torn dress and all. He was so absorbed in the fact that she was going to need a bath with hospital grade disinfectants that he almost missed her admission.

“Fine, I should have requested more back up – or at least the tracker they wanted me to wear.” He looked at her, huffing. “What? What are you fishing for?” Jackson looked at her.

“I guess that is a close as I am going to get to you admitting that help was, indeed, needed.”

“We saved the lives of several women. I don’t understand what you are getting at. It isn’t even your job! You’re a kpop idol. Why are you so personally invested?” Jackson looked at the woman sitting next to him. He thought some of his friends were dense. Hell, his friends thought he was dense at times. He studied her as he considered telling her. Instead, he shook his head.

“Just don’t wear anything like that dress ever again. Why did you somehow manage to pick the sexiest outfit in the store?” he asked, looking at her incredulously. She, in turn, looked down at her dress.

“Really?” she asked. He groaned.

“Woman! You don’t even know how sexy you are, do you?” He spotted her partner. “How do you all deal with her?” he asked, and the man blinked as he paused, confused. “Does anyone else find her sexy?”

“Call me sexy one more time, and I will show you what happens.” Gritted teeth did nothing to scare him off. Her partner merely grinned.

“Are you really going to wear that?” Jackson asked, looking at the outfit the cute detective was wearing. The girl looked down at her outfit.

“What is wrong with this?” she asked, looking up from her skinny jeans and low cut white top that, had they been in the US, Jackson would have nodded in approval over. They were in Korea, though, and he knew this just wouldn’t work.

“How about we go shopping?” he asked, and the woman looked hesitant. “Look, Detective Cheong, I am just trying to help you out. You want to blend in, correct?” the woman nodded slowly as her partner walked into her room.

“I think you are underdressed for wherever he wants to go, Lils.”

“Fine. We can go shopping. But I am buying my outfit.” Jackson grinned. She was adorable in a I-can-kick-your-behind kind of way.

Jinyoung was in panic mode. Normally, dudes were at this moment. But he in particular was hysterical – in his panic and to the people around him. No one really expected his doctor wife to go into labor in the middle of their dance practice – even him. But his bandmates didn’t expect him – Mr. I want to have babies and have them right now – to outright panic. Even Mark, who received the phone call that his wife was about to give birth mid-show, was calmer than Jinyoung. Of all the members to panic, no one anticipated it to be Jinyoung. But here he was, crowded into a waiting room with the rest of his members.

“Hey, Jinyoung, are you okay?” Mark asked, holding his laughter in more so out of sympathy than anything else.

“Mr. Park?” a nurse called. Jinyoung near fainted at the voice. “Would you like to come see your baby?” He flung a wide-eyed look at Mark, who fought – hard – to keep a straight face.

“They wha?” he asked, his sentence incoherent.

“Use big kid words.”

“Give me five minutes,” Jinyoung said, squatting with his head between his knees. Mark couldn’t do it. He dropped next to Jinyoung, laughter engulfing his whole body.

“Jinyoung,” he breathed. “Jinyoung, you don’t getfive more minutes.”

“All I want is five more minutes. Just five minutes longer.” Mark rubbed his shoulder.

“I mean, you can have five minutes to go into the room, but five minutes before becoming a father is kind of out of the picture.” JInyoung groaned.

“I don’t think I am ready for this.” Laughter erupted around him. Only Mark remained quiet.

Song Hye sat in the corner of the club. She hadn’t wanted to come out. Her friends forced her – tricked her – into coming out with them. Guilt tripped her even – “When was the last time you went out with us?” – since before she returned to Korea, not that she planned on responding to the question. She didn’t need to. Miss Photographic memory even knew the outfit she wore and the words she said right when the night ended. She tried to get out of it. She was currently preoccupied with work – and, more importantly, getting Yugyeom to talk to her again.

“You’re going this time, and that’s final” was the last thing she heard before she found herself dressed and at the club she was currently sitting in the corner of.

“Why won’t you join us on the dance floor?”

“I am over here plotting revenge,” Song Hye said, glancing at Ah Rin. The girl rolled her eyes.

“Well, plot your revenge on the dance floor.” Ah Rin dragged her up, pulling her out to the aforementioned floor. She huffed. Right until she spotted the brown with blonde highlights above the rest of the heads in the crowd.

“Maybe I will plot my revenge on the dance floor.” Ah Rin laughed.

In Seong groaned as small feet jumped on his back.

“Uncle! Uncle In Seong!” In Seong rolled over, glaring politely at the little kid. Kailanikona came rushing in, quickly grabbing her son.

“Michael, stop! Let Uncle In Seong sleep!” In Seong glanced at his fiancée, groaning as he sat up, her best friend already dragging her son out of the room.

“I told you we should have just gone to the hotel.”

“She was insistent. I didn’t want to be rude.”

“I also told you Kona’s son was an energy ball that no one can handle. If I didn’t make you regret choosing to stay here, then he would.”

“She was insisting.”

“Yeah, to torture you.”

“It still doesn’t make me regret this decision.” Hye Rin raised an eyebrow.

“Oh? How does screaming 2 year old not make you regret this decision?”

“Because. We leave tomorrow. This is going to be the last time in a while that you get to see your best friend.” Hye Rin melted – In Seong could see it.

“You chose to stay with a screaming 2 year old who woke you up at 6 in the morning so I could spend time with my best friend?” In Seong sat up, pulling her closer and kissing her.

“Yeah.”

“If I wasn’t already marrying you, this would have sealed all decisions.” In Seong smirked.

“It wasn’t the saving you from the paparazzi?” She wacked his arm.

“You are so lucky I love you…”

“Maybe we can invite Kona to Korea – minus the 2 year old, of course…” Hye Rin squealed, and In Seong smiled at the tight grip of her arms.

Jinyoung pouted as his mom swatted his hand.

“Stop picking at it.” The five year old grunted, biting his lower lip, playing with the scab that was forming at the corner of it. “Park Jinyoung! What did I just say!”

“I’m not picking at it!

“Yes you are. Don’t bite your lip like that.”

“Mom!”

“Don’t mom me. Now stop it, or it is going to take even longer to heal.” He pouted.

“Shouldn’t have gotten into a fight if you didn’t want a scab,” his sister said as she walked into the living room and sat next to him on the couch.

“I didn’t get into a fight!”

“Oh, and the door just chose to hit you on its own?” she asked, and he pouted again.

“Stop teasing him. Bo-young accidently hit him with a door. No fighting was involved.” His sister stopped, though the look on her face said it was just to stop their mom from scolding her. Jinyoung didn’t care as long as she left him alone. He bit his lip again.

Bobby closed his eyes. Normally, Kara was the one holding him back. Today, he was the one ready to burst in frustration.

“Kara!” he yelled, and the woman jumped a little bit

“Hey, Bobby…”

“What?” he asked, looking at Loco, who happened to have come over with Jun. The man shook his head slightly. “Sorry.” He held out a hand to Kara, who hesitated slightly before going over to him. She settled quickly into his hip.

“Hey, bro!” someone yelled from the other room. “We should totally – “

“Dude, did you not hear me say no right now?” another voice yelled – who Bobby could only guess was Hanbin, usually the voice of reason with their group. He smiled.

“Told you it would be a fun thing to do.” Bobby scowled slightly.

“Did you not hear Hanbin?” he asked. She pouted in a fashion that was most likely similar to the face his bandmate was making.

“You are no fun…” He looked at Kara.

“I am not fun?” he asked. “Says the one I gave up clubbing for.” She looked up at him.

“I didn’t make you give that up.” He sighed.

“Yes, but I would be a pretty crappy boyfriend if I took you to a place like that – or go without my girlfriend.” She shrugged as the boys came crashing into the room. Both blinked as they looked at June and Hanbin, both of whom looked up at the couple in return.

“I told you we shouldn’t come in here.” June shook his head.

“You act like we would walk into some perverse moment. Loco and Jun are BOTH in here.” Bobby swooped and kissed his girlfriend. Kara froze, caught off guard while June freaked out. “Oy! You did that on purpose!” Hanbin cackled.

“I told you not to come in here!” Bobby finally released Kara, who blinked in confusion. She was used to being the person used to get at the boys – she just never understood how it was affective.

“Why do you always do stuff like that?” she asked. Bobby giggled before responding.

Namjoon sighed as he looked over at the archeologist.

“That is the fifth time you sighed looking in that direction.” He looked up to find Jackson Wang sitting next to him.

“Oh, hey. What are you doing here?” he asked.

“Mark and Yugyeom are here and invited me to tag along.”

“Ah.”

“Who is she?” he asked, looking over at Katrina, who was talking to some other person in the bar.

“An architect.”

“She designs homes?” Jackson asked, looking over at the woman. Namjoon blinked.

“What? No. She studies ancient sights.”

“Oh, you mean archeologist.” Namjoon blinked.

“That is what I said.” Jackson grinned stiffly. “What did I say?”

“Archeologist. I am just stupid.” Namjoon gave Jackson the look. “Ok, fine. You said architect. To be fair, you did use the correct…damn what is it called? Prefix?”

“She wouldn’t have had to figure it out. She is smart like that.” Jackson tried. He really did. But the snort came out, and because he tried to hold it back, it came out much louder than it would have otherwise. Namjoon looked at his friend. “What?”

“You are sick.”

“What is that supposed to mean?”

“So lovesick. I don’t think I have ever seen you like this.”

“We met when she was about to grab the same book as me. We have similar tastes.”

“You have lost all ability to speak.”

“She hasn’t. She has a way with words that no one else has. I kind of envy it.” Jackson looked at his friend, not sure where the man was going with his statement.

“That was only half lovesick cheese.”

“She sucks at speaking Korean, but even with that, she still manages to manage a conversation.”

“That is what happens when you are in an area for long enough.”

“No, I mean it has to do with her grasp of language. It is like her job translates to her conversational skills. It is like she makes up for her choppy conversational Korean with her knowledge and passion for learning more about our culture and its history.”

“That is a good thing. Generally, people like it when there is a genuine interest in learning more about the people.” Namjoon nodded. “It helps that she is pretty.” Namjoon blinked.

“Huh?”

The angry expression on Jae’s face was the first hint to keep his mouth shut – and not repeat what was previously stated. It wasn’t very often that anyone saw Jae angry, but today was apparently one of those times. Wonpil had no clue what happened that morning, but he wasn’t stupid enough to find out. The man in question answered his phone, the anger on his face mixing with slight concern. Concern that the group usually associated with Hye Joo and his daughter. He hung up relatively quickly, though, so Wonpil wondered who else could garner that look from his hyung. A face poking into the room was a welcome distraction.

“Oh! Mark! What are you doing here?” Jae turned to look at the door with the rest of the group.

“Oh, I was wondering if I could talk to you for a moment, Jae?” Both boys stepped out.

“Do you think something happened at home?” Dowoon whispered, as though they could be heard through the door.

“Maybe. Honestly, that was a slight overreaction for something so small.”

“Hey Jae, is everything okay?” Younghyun asked when the man stepped back into the small studio. He looked up, swallowing slightly.

Minseok blinked as he walked into the apartment, utterly confused as he watched his girlfriend bend in a position he didn’t think was possible for her.

“What are you doing?” he asked, tilting his head as he watched her continue to do what looked like stretching.

“What does it look like I am doing?” Mina asked, nearly toppling as she spoke. Minseok almost didn’t want to continue the conversation until she moved on from what she was doing. Concussions were not a part of his evening plans.

“You look like you are needing all muscles to keep yourself from falling.”

“That’s not true!” She shrieked at the end as she fell.

“Mina!” he moved over, hands fluttering all over her, gently looking for bruises.

“You made me fall!” she whined.

“No, I didn’t,” he responded distractedly before finishing his search, finally satisfied.

“Yes, you did. I was doing yoga and you distracted me.” He finally looked at her, legs crossed as he sat in front of her.

“Yoga?” he asked, his interest piqued. “Why are you doing yoga?”
