“I…” The brunette paused for a moment, thinking about what to say. Being related to someone never meant much to her, or at least it never brought anything good. Only fear of becoming like those people. Great, isn’t it? “Alright, cards on the table? I’m not exactly experienced in matters of family. So… that sounds about right, I guess?”

“Wow, that sucks.” Olivia announced a little bluntly, “I have a pretty big family... I mean, most of them technically aren’t related to me but I don’t care. I mean, my mom grew up without a family so she wanted to make sure Jay and I had a big one.”

“Usually.” She repeated that word with a skeptically raised eyebrow, taking a look around to see if she could spot that mysterious redheaded lookalike of hers. “If this happens a lot, then why do you keep tagging along?”

“Because she’s my mother.” Liv shot back a nearly identical look, “Is she perfect? No, far from it, but unlike some people I know, I’ve only got one. And frankly, I can’t really fault her, she’s had a tough life and she’s no weirder then the rest of my family so...”

“Gingery?” Camille raised an eyebrow, picturing herself as a redhead. And with a daughter. Well, that was certainly something new. Even though it didn’t sound half bad. And the girl seemed pretty decent. “It’s alright, kid. Find her? Are you lost?”

“Lost? Please I’m like fifteen. Besides I’m the responsible one.” She stated as though it was obvious, “No, Mom is a space case. She travels constantly for work and when we’re with her, well, she often forgets and wanders off. Not as bad as my brother, at least I can yell and she usually wanders back.”

The brunette raised an eyebrow, studying the kid. A certain resemblance was there, but it was weird to think that this could be the result if Camille ever had a daughter. Which wasn’t in her plans, but still. “Wouldn’t your mom be like… almost twice my age?”

“My mom looks good for her age. She’s a little more... gingery though.” Live shrugged, flipping her long blonde hair over her shoulder and sighing, “Well, anyways. Sorry for the mix up. I should really go find her.”

“I didn’t do anything…” Camille stopped herself halfway through the sentence, her eyes widening as she realized what she had just been called. “I’m sorry. Do I have something wrong with my ears, or did you just call me ‘mom’?”

Liv blinked in confusion, then shook her head, “I’m sorry, you just... you look just like my mother, except the hair of course..”

He looked at her, eyes narrowing for a moment. “Often spend your days at the Warehouse, do you?”

“Of course I do.” She gave him a look like it was obvious, “Inventory is one of my after school chores. Mom wasn’t too wild about that, she doesn’t like Jay and I around artifacts, but Grumpy says if we’re going to live in this world, we have to know how to handle them properly as a precautionary measure.
