(via Trans Rights Readathon (March 20th - 27th, 2023))

The Trans Rights Readathon, will take place from March 20th to March 27th, 2023, and is a week-long event that encourages people to read books with transgender main characters, books by transgender authors, and raise funds for trans organizations that support and advocate for the trans community.

One of the great things about this event is that each creator has the opportunity to run their own mini-fundraisers and readathons where people can pledge, whether by page or by the book. Individuals are able to decide which organization (or individual) they would like to support.

People who can’t donate financially can ask friends and followers to pledge, or they can spread awareness while supporting trans books, creators, and authors! Posts can be made on all social media sites with the hashtag #TransRightsReadathon to get the word out.

Welcome back to the Valentine’s Challenge! The library will post a song prompt, complete with lyrics and video if available, at midnight EST starting on February 1 and every day through February 14th.

The challenge is for Klaine fanfiction, although if you desire to write CrissColfer fanfiction, we’d be happy to include that as well. We’d also love to see artwork/graphics inspired by the weekly song prompts.

You can do whatever your muse tells you. Either write a 14 chapter story (the more new stories in fandom, the better!), or 14 separate one shots, or you can create art. However you interpret the song is up to you. Maybe just the title moves you, the lyrics, just one line in the lyrics - it’s up to you. And the more words, the sweeter!

Use the tags #Klaine Fanfiction, #CrissColfer Fanfiction, #Klaine Fan Art, #CrissColfer Fan Art depending on what you’re posting, and always include #KlaineValentines2023.

We created an AO3 Collection so all the works can be grouped together.

And Why Is That. And Why Is That is so near and dear because i worked so hard on it. people who read along the way know that i was writing entire chapters in notebooks and everything. chapters were written on my phone. only the last few were written on my mac. the rest were written on phones, tablets, and notebooks. it was so much fun, writing that story. i began writing it during a dark time, and people just followed me along the way. and for that i am grateful.

i always enjoy writing in Blaine's point of view. doesn't matter what fic i'm writing, he's who i want to write from lmao. kurt is so hard to write, idk why.

everything @sugarandfeyst ever commented on one of my fics. and this one. i happen to love this reader so much, and whenever they comment i get this little serotonin boost.

to the kids who’ve had to explain that, no, hanukkah isn’t “jewish christmas”

to the students and workers who aren’t allowed to take time off for their holidays when time off is freely given for christmas and easter
