I love our big, old oak tree, but it sure is high maintenance. In the Fall it drops leave for seemingly forever. Gabe and I seriously spent about 12 collective hours cleaning up leaves. But now it's Spring and its spitting all of these tassels (or seaweed, as my mom used to call it) EVERWHERE! How rude! If you need me, I'll be raking this crap up for days. 😜🌳

Came home from work and found this beautiful bearded iris in the yard. It was just a bud this morning--I didn't know it would bloom that quickly. I planted it 2 years ago and had no idea what color it would be. So nice 😊🌸💓 #beardediris #iris

Great record finds at the Salvation Army yesterday. I think they were only 50 cents! Now that we have a record player, I have an excellent excuse to listen to the Sound of Music soundtrack and Barbara Streisand 😜

I noticed yesterday that the Arboretum had updated the quilt garden. I went up to take a look at it and was surprised to see that the pattern is all butterflies. 😻💗 (at The North Carolina Arboretum)
