Spiderman: Brand New Day was actually a 2 hour documentary on how repressing your emotions will fucking kill you

the movie showing how jean can feel whatever her “host” is feeling can only mean that during all those excruciating hours that peter was on the surgical table and she was the only thing keeping him alive, she very probably felt everything—every needle, every stitch, every poke and prod. and yet she stayed because peter promised her she wouldn’t be alone anymore, so she’s sure as hell gonna make sure he won’t be either.

Props to Florence Pugh for showing how Yelena gets the proverbial air knocked out of her when Sentry tells her she doesn't really know him. But I think it's also interesting to see that touch of pain in Sentry's voice and expression as he lets her know what he basically tells Valentina a few moments later: "It isn't Robert you should be afraid of." It's Void, of course. It's almost as if he's telling Yelena: "I'm sorry, but I can get so much worse than this, and I don't think you're going to like it (or me). I don't want to let you down with whatever it is that you thought you saw in me."

I love this about Bob because I do think he's resistant to being loved (sweetheart isn't even used to it, when family history has shown him this too, I'm gonna cry) - so of course he's going to doubt and warn her in a way. But she won't have it. She'll go somewhere no one else has, to the deepest darkest corners of his trauma, to find him and take him home. She'll literally wrap him in her arms to fend him off from himself. And (hopefully) that's the last time he underestimates her love for him and how far she'll go for her Bob ❤️‍🩹
