All eyes are on Montreal and Ottawa now that Shane Hollander is a Centaur. It's going to be a big year for the Cens, assuming they can get past their first game against the Voyageurs... and their second... and their third? Maybe it won't be as simple as playing one game and proving everybody wrong. _________________ Compliant with other works in this series but can be read as a standalone.

It's Shane Hollander's first season in Ottawa, and the whole Centaurs roster is playing better than they ever have. So why won't the press focus on that? Why do he and Ilya keep having to answer questions about their marriage, and not get to talk about the incredible start to the season that their team is having? Maybe if they do one podcast, with hosts who are normal people, they can just tell their whole story and focus on bringing the Stanley Cup to Ottawa. --- or, Shane and Ilya do a sports podcast run by lesbians for members of the LGBTQ+ community, and the internet reacts.

“Uh,” he says, looking up from his screen and feeling his ears go hot, realizing for the first time that this habit of his hasn’t actually come up before until this exact moment. “What?” Rozanov asks, sounding more amused than anything else. “You are one of the people who does Instagram for food now?” “No,” Shane says, stalling between answering and finishing his Snap so he can send it to Melissa, “one sec.” He finishes typing out 'Tuna melt. Chips. Pickles. It smells really good. Swiss cheese, I think.' before he looks back to Rozanov, putting his phone facedown on the coffee table. “Just sending it to someone on the staff. She likes knowing what I’m eating.” He doesn’t know if Melissa likes knowing what he’s eating, per se, but she also seems pleased when he talks about enjoying food for things beyond how many grams of protein it has in it. “Ah,” Rozanov says, in a tone Shane can’t quite read. “You always send her your food then, this girl?” (shane has a habit of sending his team's dietician his meals for approval) (the problem with this habit? he forgets to tell ilya exactly what it is that melissa does) (how the tuna meltdown is AVERTED through the power of miscommunication)

Stuck in an alt-world where he and Shane never hooked up as teenagers, Ilya is determined to get Shane back. To do that, Ilya has to figure out a way to get Shane to see him as anyone other than the Russian asshole who has spent a decade pissing him off. It can't be that hard to make your husband fall in love with you... right? Basically: Shane Hollander makes a wish with good intentions. Ilya Rozanov wakes up confused, single, closeted, and miserable in Boston. +Bonus Chapter where AltWorld!Ilya wakes up confused, married, out, and carefree in Ottawa

It's Fall of 2014 and Ilya Rozanov has cut all ties with Russia. But there's no such thing as a clean break, and leaving isn't as simple as never going back. - Basically a very self-indulgent fic about how hard it would be for Ilya to actually move on from the pain of the past and to go no contact with his family in a timeline where Grigori is still alive. Also, Ilya deserves to be known and loved by more people than just Shane and Sveta. Forced/Found Family here we come. *Sequel to my canon-divergence fic "To only ever know the cold" (go read that first or this won't make sense!)

When Svetlana finds an injured and emotionally fragile Ilya, she knows she needs somewhere safe for him to recover. And there's only one person in Russia who Sveta trusts with her Ilyusha: Canada's Golden Boy, Shane Hollander.

Absolutely beautiful fic. I love this version of Shane. It also has Outsiders POV and Social Media.
