Day 6: Herbs for Spirit Work
In the old ways, witches turned to the green world for aid in crossing between realms. While modern witches might work with tarot or meditation, ancient practitioners worked with herbs as keys, living spirits that could open perception, cleanse energy, and strengthen protection when dealing with the unseen.
At Samhain, when the veil is thin and whispers carry through smoke, these herbs become our allies, bridging the worlds.
🍂 Working with Herbs for Spirit Work
It’s important to remember that plants are spirits too. When we burn, brew, or wear them, we’re inviting their energy into our space. Always approach with gratitude, intention, and respect.
To work with herbs in spirit magic, you can: 🕯️ Burn them as incense or in loose herbal blends 🌿 Brew into tea (only if the herb is safe for consumption!) 💨 Use them in smoke cleansing 🌸 Add them to baths or floor washes 🔮 Dress candles or anoint tools with infused oils 🖤 Carry small sachets or amulets for protection
