Hi there, Glam Fam.
This isn’t going to be an admin notice that any of you would expect, but it’s one that us admins have thought very thoroughly through to make this decision. Unfortunately, we’re going to be closing The Glamorous List due to a variety of reasons. The main one being that the group has been open for so long, and the three of us inherited a group that had been through so much and had received somewhat of a bad reputation long before we took over as the admins. We’ve done our best to try to revive it and keep it alive, though not without faults and misguided attempts of our own, but it seems that things just keep slowing down. Both with activity and with stuff on the main itself. While we’re sure there are a myriad of reasons as to why, we can’t help but feel that it can largely be attributed to the reputation that Glam has gained over time even prior to us being the admins in charge. One we can’t seem to shake as much as we’ve tried. As well as the choices we’ve made with trying to make this group our own that didn’t go over well that we also know effected things, all of which we will be doing our best to rectify (see below). We’ve thought long and hard about what would be best, and in the end, the three of us all agreed that it was time to step away from and close The Glamorous List due to all the reasons stated.
However, it’s not all bad news, because we will be opening a new group which you can find at @cityofdreamsrp. And we welcome anyone that would like to join to come and apply once we open for accepting applications, which should be later tonight! We feel like creating a group of our own with its own name, a fresh take on the rules and everything else is the best way to go about it. We’ll truly get to make this group our own. There will be some similarities and lots of differences, so we would love to have you join us at City of Dreams! We will begin accepting applications later tonight and we will set an official opening date very soon after once we feel we have enough members and celebrities! So, make sure you’re keeping an eye on the main over there for the announcement of when we’ll start accepting applications!
To all of our members, we love you so much and we thank you for sticking with us through all of the changes and everything else throughout our duration of leading this group. All of you are the reasons why the group lasted as long as it did, and we hope to see as many of you as possible over at City of Dreams! For anyone that doesn’t apply, just know you will forever be part of our Glam Fam and we will miss writing with you.
It’s been a great run, Glam Fam. And while we hope to start a new run with a fresh start, we can’t thank you enough for everything. We love you, and we love all of your characters.
