Again I have no problem it’s just that the majority of Johnjane art is just the dynamic of weak fem guy x masculine protecter presenting wife is overused.

if there’s any art or artist that draws Johnjane as an average middle aged couple without the dynamic please write them down, I need to see more.

(PSA: I also don’t like when John’s m3 and m4 are used in JohnJane art mostly because he’s a rotting body full of the corruption that is slowly taking over him which makes him uncapable to process or even acknowledge Jane as his wife, which I have to say I don’t like seeing…………….)

I do imagine because the Christmas lore notes said John is easy-going and lacks personal drive that he struggles to advocate for himself and set boundaries, so Jane helps him develop boundaries and will make sure he's setting them when he needs, but that's really the closest example I can think of me doing the "protective wife thing".

But it's not like Jane is the only one helping John with stuff. I imagine because of Jane's shatterpoint making her unable to accept heals she struggles to accept help and John helps her know that it's okay to get help. He's also the one she goes to the most because he understands what she needs more than others. He might help her get out there more too since he likes to socialize :)

I very much get where you're coming from. It's the classic shipping "one is all nicey and sweet x one is rough and tough" dynamic. It's everywhere and can get pretty tiring to see all the time.

Because I haven't posted my JohnJane art maybe I shouldn't point to myself? I draw them like the average couple but the only people who see it are me and my buddies. (If you wanna see it maybe I can like, DM it?? I dunno up to you, alerting you now though I don't know Spanish)

Also I should draw Jane in feminine outfits more. I literally love drawing pretty outfits and I finally have a character who's perfect for that.
