In the episode Animation Abomination, the animators use digital tablets to help create a cartoon but when they shipped it to South Korea, most of it is done traditionally on paper. Aren't cartoons mostly being made on digital tablets and computers nowadays? That they don't need South Korea to animate it? Because aren't cartoons being drawn traditionally on paper are usually shipped overseas to South Korea to help animate the show?
Big City Greens is storyboarded and designed digitally. The pre production process is handled here in California. The production (animation) process is when we ship it to our vendor studios Rough Draft and Sugarcube. They animate by drawing each frame by hand on paper while referencing our storyboard drawings. Then they scan the paper frames and color them digitally. Shows like Simpsons, SpongeBob, and Family Guy are also drawn on paper then digitally colored in the same way.
