“I’m not sure more sugar is the best idea, but how about some water” She spoke slowly with a smile

The toddler started to cry and threw her sippy cup before falling down on her butt. 

“Don’t think crying is going to get you what you want.” She spoke moving to grab the sippy cup.

Korra looked over to Mizuko and kept her face plain. “You listen to your mommy.” She said taking the cup away from Asami and poured water. “If you stop crying. I’ll give you a piece of cheese.” 

Asami smiled a bit as she moved  watching the other fill the cup. Too much sugar was bound to be a bad idea so the water and cheese sounded a lot better.

Desna kissed his wife’s cheek gently. “You know it’s true, babe.”

“That’s… different,” he said. “And be careful saying that, or Siku will hear.”

She raised an eyebrow a moment looking at him carefully. 

“Why are you staring at me like that?”

“It’s still strange how reserved you can be at times.”

“Maybe a little thirsty, perhaps some tea?” She suggested with a small smile watching Korra a moment hoping the distraction would work at least for a short while.

“Alright.” She said getting out the tea box and putting water into the kettle. Korra was distracted by the juice and yanked on Asami’s pants. 

Asami watched Korra a soft smile on her lips a moment before handing her daughter the juice cup with a smile.

Korra was content with her juice and stopped being terrible. For now. Mizuko quickly got a couple of cups for the tea. 

Asami watched Korra for a little while before looking at Mizuko a peaceful smile on her lips.

Mizuko stole a couple of kisses from Asami and rubbed noses with her. “Love you.”
