honestly, michael would be baffled at the recent behavior from some of you, especially when we know he didn't play about black women. even more, your internal misogyny is showing─because how are you going to bring down the black women in a fandom for a black man? and have we forgotten one of the two key components of fanfiction? (hint: take a look at the prefix). your favorite hc or smut or fluff blurb isn't just posted by an internet rando or some mysterious figure─your writers are real people, who feel and think just as you do. and when you cloud up the space with your hate and ignorance, you not only hurt others, you take away from the bigger picture, who we're all here here for: michael. this community is meant to be a place to connect, even despite our differences. that's diversity, that's what michael fought for, and you're essentially just smearing your shoe over his grave.
