The building was designed in a brutalist style by architect J. Innes-Elliott and completed in 1971 but is now disused (hence the signage having been removed) and there are plans to demolish it to make space for a new development.

Originally called Rotherhithe Baths, the building opened in 1965. However it is apparently due to be demolished to allow the construction of a new leisure centre on the site.
