An Eye for an Eye- Comet and Dropmix come to terms, and in a way that is lacking violence this time. (Dropmix is not mine ofc)
Canyons- Takes place in the Custody au, Cometeater finds a canyon and hopes to God he can find his way home.

Perfect World au- An au where Sunrazor finds and adopts an alien and his protective adoptive brothers. Of course continued on Quibbles blog, Sunrazor is hers!
Heart in Hand Au- An au where Cometeater gets adopted by a very different mech as a small child, then left with the beloved Dropmix >:) (Tw this does have child abuse.)
Custody Au- An Au where Comet's brothers get killed and the poor boy is left in the care of his only friend, and said friend's mentor who isn't known for his affection for the Pretender. (The au I made with Quibble to make Dropmix love Comet the only way we could, and it hurts so bad) (Tw mentions of Suicide are prominent)
Dragged Up Au- Based in the 1980s where our aliens get to be human!

I feel like Golden Gabby deserves some love since her plot has been sidelined at the moment and she deals with so much at the hands of her sisters. Enjoy the grayscale doodle I made of her with a random quote I found.
I love the doodle, the line art is so clean and the lines are so...graphic? I dunno? But y'know it's wonderful and I wanna hug it. The dead expression is my favorite to draw and see and she pulls it off so well.
I also want her jacket, her style is making me so happy. All these ocs are so awesome how dare-
This is basically just me using @thebrokenmechanicalpencil's oc to introduce some concepts and characters because this felt like the best way to do that... and yk... these guys are all dead when the actual plot happens in this universe so we don’t really have the opportunity to meet them anyway.

I love the little creature The Comet is talking with, he is such an alien kitten. Adorable boyo. The layout of the panels is so fluid and goshhhh the backgrounds!! I know I had a peek at them before but gosh...
So pretty..
The dialogue was great hush, feels very the Teacher. Young and excitable teacher that hasn't been almost eaten or thrown across the sky yet. You did so well with her design, very ethereal. Her skull (?) having those little pupils when she sees Azugula is so wonderful. Feels like it alludes to the pretenders, how their pupils twist and dilate. She may have that as a canon trait now...I've thought about it but now ughh it's so fun. Plus Bayamba she's so pretty, so motherly. I love their conversation over the title and name. That's so great. Plus her having to talk to Azugula to know if she can walk there???? I love all of that.
He looks so powerful you did great with that last panel, be intimidated little creature. He's so so cool. It's so fun that The Comet can be helpful with introducing these gods, I'm so happy she can be of help.
Her and I get to fangirl over the cool people together, at the same time-! Her telling a story was a wonderful way to start it, I love all of this. It's so great. So well done man.
I keep looking at it and noticing stuff, like the depth in Azugula's chest?!?!

So I know I keep mentioning I need to interrogate you (lovingly) so yes. Questions :D. Plus my insane ramblings of course.

1: So how does the guild work and how much power do they have? Are they directly connected to all the law enforcement of the West and can pull a "I'm with the CIA" and take over a situation?
I'm wondering this because I am curious how far Hoss could be chased considering Jazz wants him. Its a whole work in progress...Which leads me to my next question.
2: Court systems? How does that work and how much authority would a Saurboy have in said system? Do they work more as officers or for hire mercenaries?
Because so far I'm thinking that Hoss gets involved with the guild very young, probably because his dad (Yes Sam gets to be awful here too :D) is into some ultra shady crap and Hoss gets left behind. He's a lead, plus he's gifted and quickly becomes less of a burden because Sam may be awful but he's gonna teach his son some stuff. Probably the ability to disappear and hide out in the weeds for a long time. They know the behaviors of a Dino to the letter and probably feel more reptile than people....Which is how I'm sorta translating the Pretender stuff? He's wild and an odd breed. But y'know that may be stupid and completely not work...
3: How is the guild structured?
Jazz in my head is a top dog of sorts and when things are said and done, doesn't exactly want the kid to be let loose. Hoss I'm pretty sure gets arrested when everything is done with, the poor kid gets arrested because he's still a criminal and some people don't like that (This may be workshopped because its a little...Meh) but he gets released to roam (after the court has its drama) and Jazz has no right to get a hold of the kid again after he rejects his offer of training for the guild. So he he's left harassing him instead, trying to get some "sense" knocked into him. (this is all sorta loose but it's y'know the vague idea, but it may get scrapped, its the general vibes~)
But all that mess is mostly because I am curious how its structured and how much power each tier has on others?? Plus on civilians and such?
What would Jazz be if he is out in the field but can still be bossy? How bossy could he be with normal people like Hoss when he gets released??

I have honestly blabbered a lot and I'm sorry- I'll leave this at what it is for now, not gonna yap your ear off. If none of this makes sense just let me know, and anything that doesn't fit with the lore I'm happy to squish around and make work. Like how rogues like that would function in that world, and if Hoss would even be considered valuable???

Okay, this will be answered kinda out of order since... some things will answer themselves as I explain stuff.
The very brief summaries of the answers:
The Guild are kind of like the CIA where they are specialists, but they do not outrank actual law enforcers. If a Marshal tells them to back off they need to back off.
Their role in a court system is generally... well, when they are brought in its to give testimony? Usually? They are typically seen as more reliable sources and generally the jury would be biased towards them because they are more popular, but technically they hold no real station in a court room.
It's based off of seniority
Now for our more in depth answers.

Ranking system:
So, the standard ranking system of the Guild is built off of seniority. Members who have been sworn in for longer naturally outrank members who joined in a few years ago. Which is pretty self explanatory. Experience is a really important thing here because it keeps you from being dead.
Greenhorns (1-3 years), Saurboys (4-11 years), and Seniors (12+ years)
There are other more official ranks that exist when traveling in a party. Saurboy parties usually consist of 4-7 Saurboys depending on the assignment. A posse is 3 Saurboys and is the typical number of Saurboys travelling together.
Trail Head: This is typically the seniormost Saurboy or the Saurboy who has the most experience on the stretch of land they are covering.
Lead Hand: Basically, the second in command, usually selected by the Trail Head or if there is no bias, it's the second seniormost Saurboy there.
From there, depending on the assignment and party size, it can range if they get more specific. If the Party is covering a migration or relocation then they will usually have more people so they get even more specific titles to keep things organized.

Here is how most of the west is broken up system wise. which is extremely simplified. But this is pretty much how things are run? Territories are led by a president or Territory Leader (they hold councils with each other) Then a Senator or Chairman looks over a branch. Districts are led by a Governor. And the Counties are led by a Mayor. Towns themselves vary in elected officals and their titles.
How does this play in with Saurboys? Think of them like athletes. They have contracts that they are signed into, traded for and requested/assigned as needed. they are given to Territories. And for however long they are signed for, do whatever the President wants. Usually, they only cover a Branch, but depending on population and job, they can expand further.
Now, when a Saurboy has been contracted to hunt down an outlaw (or when covering larger migrations when they are signed over to companies rather than territories) they have permission to cross over Territory lines. This is very rare considering most Outlaws don't travel that far, but it's not unheard of.
The guild members themselves have their own operating system with how assignments are distributed, but technically the Chiefs and whatnot aren't actually sworn in as Saurboys.

Marshals are the law for most Towns and whatnot, but they are usually needed in the town. When it comes to a rogue running on the outskirts or someone lost on a trail, they usually just oversee the operation and deal with the legal stuff. Basically, the actual law enforcement offers aren't trained to survive in the wilds and on trails so they will hire Saurboys to do their dirty work and track, retrieve, or just oversee trails. They work hand in hand with the Law.

I think that answered the questions but if not and I need to get more detailed I totally can.
Now, onto the more oc specific questions:
How far could Jazz chase Devin/Hoss? If he has been assigned the bounty, anywhere within reason. But he still answers to higher ups in his assigned Territory.
I'm not surprised Sam is awful here too. I hate that guy. Scum of the earth right there. But, legally, even if Hoss was involved with the crimes, he's also a minor and would be tried as one.
And Hoss knowing how to survive out and about makes sense to me. There is some extent where they need human contact for guns and such since that's the main way to ward off a dinosaur and... yeah, humans are not the top of the food chain and actively hunted. Hoss would be no exception to that so contact with others would need to be made even in stretches where he's hiding. But that also may just be assumed? Idk, the feeling more reptilian is what's getting to me? Because outlaws and rogues need to be around people to do their crimes? They need to understand how people work and all that. Nothing illegal about being a hermit.
Okay, with what Jazz actually is... Hm. There is a seperate ranking system for members of the guild that operate above the saurboys and are kidna like the... idk, office people of it all? Those are the higher ups and the people in charge and able to make calls. but they don't work in the field, which would complicate Jazz chasing Hoss around.
So... Jazz may be a senior? Or operating directly under the Territory president? Since those members have orders from people higher up the social ladder they are treated as higher up in rank? If that makes sense??
Jazz offering Hoss a position as a Saurboy is where things get complicated because Hoss would need a pardon from an actual government official in order to be sworn into the Guild. Because he has a serious criminal record and they need him to be trustworthy when left unsupervised. And then again, Jazz pestering Hoss about joining in another issue, if he's been captured and turned over to the law then Jazz has done his job and needs to walk away? If Hoss is left loose Jazz doesn't have an assignment to follow him or anything so he needs to leave the kid alone?
And then there is the technical age restriction where Hoss can't be sworn in until he's 19. Especially if he already has a criminal record. They would not be making exceptions for him. so Jazz would need to leave him alone til then.
All this to say. There is nothing stopping Jazz from acting on his own free will and keeping tabs on this kid despite it technically being frowned on.

Hoss (Devin, the frog, so many aliases-) and Sam having a more reptilian manner is more of what I'm thinking? (metaphorically-) Not like complete wild men but more wary. Got a feel to them, Sam probably more so because he's a cruel dude with mental issues. Lack of empathy and such, makes him feel less warm. Hoss may just be very quick on his feet and instinctual? Like he doesn't overthink stuff he just moves? Which could be seen as a pro instead of a con? Especially if he's a fast learner? Brave and all? Anyway them having to talk to people and be around them is a given if they are more bandit like? (which this idea is so new I still don't know exactly what they would do? You may get another ask on crimes and such-) He probably just prefers lizards over people, they make sense. Sam I could see being a fan of the weak dies, so he would have guns and ammo and do all the fun western stuff.
Hoss being tried as a minor will probably play into my favor a bit? If he helps out and is just some kid who got caught in the crossfire I can see him getting let off? Shift some stuff if I need to...If he gets pardoned and all and then slips off because he doesn't want anything to do with them then that may keep him as a more suitable trainee?? He doesn't get arrested over a crime or anything like that its more of a courtesy thing...hm.
Still gotta cook up that trauma tho.
Just thinking aloud, still got plenty to figure out. Jazz I could see would so still keep tabs on that kid even if it wasn't by the books. He likes working around the rules and all if its for the benefit. As long as he wouldn't waste resources or man power. Its a passive harassment maybe hehe.
Anyway sorry, I love the way things are laid out for the territories. Gonna remember that and the seniority thing...

I just had way too much fun thinking of this silly and very small Muppet still being in the Dragged Up au, he's still Jussel's bestie. He still demands work from Carl. But he's huggable and somehow the Muppet movies are just so...Cool with how half the population are just puppet shaped.
So he's just a frog. Yes he's that tiny, just a little guy.

So, yall know the wild west dinosaur universe I'm playing around with right now? Yeah, they do have their own set of gods they worship because... its technically not on Earth. This project is actually the one where I stared playing with the idea that celestial bodies are gods and actually expanding on that concept and how that works.
Which... isn't terribly creative but I've had fun with it nonetheless.
@thebrokenmechanicalpencil - the urge to doodle them with The Comet or add Her to the lineup is absurd

What sucks is me sitting here and debating if The Star would actually be larger since... stars are massive.
I actually cannot elaborate too much on these guys, but they are both old gods. Technically dead too. For... reasons. So you guys get to know the actual bare minimum about them. some day I will elaborate
Azugula is the Star deity. Yeah, there is no gender. It's a star. They couldn't care less about pronouns. Fickle mortal issues that they are above. He, She, They, It. They are the Deity of the main stars and the god of gods. Being the center of the solar system has its perks
Bayamba is the Host Goddess. She is a She, significantly less complicated than Azugula. Bayamba is one of two habitable planets in the solar system.
Also, for my mutual since I've got her god oc running around my head with these goobers. Primus is Bayamba size if not a smidge shorter since she put all of her mass towards height rather than bulk.

I've also included some additional designs for Azugula. The first is exactly the same as Their normal look, the line art is just entirely black. The other is an alternate look that I can't elaborate on yet.

Azugula is so chunky and immense. Those legs, his extra little arms? His almost scaly texture...Hes so so cool. Plus his nammeeee??????
Gosh and Bayamba??!??!?! GIRL- That is so so so cool, these- Dammit her shapes and how ancient she looks. That low skirt and the jewelry. Of course they wouldn't look human why would they?? Her markings, all of it. So much of it. Not to mention the colors??? I am so flabbergasted and inspired right now its insane. PLUS- The Comet being even thought of interacting with these amazing designs is beyond flattering.

Taking notes on the size difference, Hehehehehehehe I need to draw The Comet now, shes a bit smaller than Primus by probably two heads....Maybe she needs another name too. Hahehe she has like three now?? The Waker is one I have completely forgotten to mention to you, well not..But its not that lore important. Ughhhh so many of the god thoughts now. Gahhhh could she have spoken to them when they were living and maybe when she was younger and maybe still working on being so wise...So many thoughts, she would poke in so often and ask so many questions.
Silently wondering if she could reach where they reside now, maybe slip in there when the genocide is happening. I know I love making her grief so loud it echoed pretty damn far. Im being such a dork ignore mmeeeee, of course no pressure ever to make her canon. Just playing with the super cool new toys. Which may I say again are just...Damn. I wanna be that great at designing alien gods.

It has cowboys and dinosaurs!! Which is probably the most fun mix ever. So of course I started to get inspired, and decided I'm gonna draw some dinosaurs :D (and make more ocs but shhhhhhhh- its more like they just get to be dinos).
I have, in the process of playing with dino OCs discovered, that I have a favorite, the Carnotaurus!!!! Tiny armed pitbull of a dino, which was the demon spawn in that one Disney Dinosaur movie??
Those menaces?? Who I so headcanon as a mated pair. Do I have evidence on hand to back this up?

Either way I tried my hand at trying to learn how to draw them, and I got to the super fun part of designing which is me throwing colors on a sketch~ But I am also very indecisive, so have a bunch of me just playing around with colors because these were big lizards. Have you seen how colorful a lizard can be??? Some predators can be bright! Ahem, Tiger. This is me coping btw. I just wanna make them pretty.

Was thinking, as I do, and like...
What if your family was extremely successful? What if it had good luck and plenty of good things happened for them and its been that way for generations. Your father seems to never have rivals. Your money is secure, your life is plentiful. Your house is large and the grounds are even larger.
But your family is not the masters of said house. Your mother warned you never to make eye contact with the actual owner of said estate. He owns the floors, the food, the luck.
My dear he owns the blood in your veins and any child you have.
Imagine being rich and having such influence but in return, you're the bargaining chip. Some ancestor of yours sold your very DNA to a thing in exchange for success and grandeur. A creature that will slip away for months at a time, has made appearances in the corner of your eye. Breathed on your face when you slept. Watched every movement it felt like watching. Owns every inch of your family and is amused by your happenings and the goings on of your life. It can walk the earth on the grounds sold to it. Peer from the gate, from the window. Lounge like a lion in your wine cellar because it owns this house. Let the smell of its rot and bloody diet clog the air and deep into the packed earth.
He also makes sure you know it, usually a prideful quiet being that just shows up to check in on what is HIS. Do what he likes and revel in him owning what was once someone else's. Terrorizes the house when it feels as though it's boundaries are being tested, baring teeth whispering every painful thought that's ever been uttered to yourself. It owns you and it will make sure you know. Threaten to cash in what he is owed, either by consuming you or any of your children.
Annoyingly loud babies, bratty children, a son who acts as though because he is a man this is his family and his home.
Suitors who tread too close and he has no care for. He doesn't want them. Silently it was whispered to never let him too deep into your mind, do not cry into his plush fur. Don't test him, do not even talk to that animal when you can. Don't cry when it comes screaming down the hall to bare down on your father because it decided he had made a mistake.
When it sits on your bed smiling and lounging don't you dare tell it to leave.

This has nothing to do with anything I know I should be work-shopping for a mutual and her wonderful original concepts. But I was attacked and this thought came to me. Powercase happens to belong to said mutual (as tagged below)~
Ebbin had an awful crush on the man before the war, and during the odd slow period during the war she meets him again. Romance does not ensue though because these two are horrible at feelings and its such a slow burn ya'll.
But either way @quibble-auk have this lazy bunch of panels because I love these two so much.
I got inspired, had a wonderful mental image of this thing hobbling around. The weight of the mushrooms keeping it all bent over, probably got bit in the back of the neck and it only got worse.
Extremely inspired by @quibble-auk and her zombie concepts because they give me such joy. Mushrooms and the whole thing, I love it so much. All the coolness is because of her~

My transformer ocs meet my Wild West dinosaur ocs.
POV your like 24 years old and you meet some weird giant humanoid made of metal that claims that he too is only like 20 years old developmentally. How old is he actually? Many millions of years

Just gonna sit here and giggle over this, oh my gosh-
This is so adorable I love it! Jep and Tanner!! Ughhhh all the doodles are so well done and I just wanna shake you- Pft we don't talk to our brothers club. Damn. The boyos have so much in common, I wanna doodle Comet so bad now. I just realized his bite force would be so horrifying in this. Goes and bites a T. Rex and the thing's skull gives almost immediately and he's so confused. Worried baby noises because wait a minute he didn't like that. He is used to biting alien metal.
The lizard squished.
Would probably be in such a happy place on this planet, makes him think of his home world. Lizardy froggy things. Pfffftttt- He's figuring out Bailey's little noises and just having a dino conversation. A very simple string of understanding and he's having fun. He's the biggest scariest predator here and he giggles like a fifteen year old. That's so off track, I adore these so much.

So we have these two, I had Eb on my mind and Ellie will always be iconic. Two people coming from a very successful family and having the weight of expectation heavy enough to make them wince. Reputation is everything, the Family is what matters.

When I listen to songs that have a more....Despicable force involved, I always see this slender fox ever so slyly whispering. Maybe its the Devil, swept up in a pretty coat that doesn't fit just right. Amused and yet filled with such a deep earth shattering hatred for man. Crooning with nothing but loathing and jealousy, not quite right. Devouring and dragging off those who get tempted by its sweet words and warm soft fur.
Its a pretty fox, large and otherworldly. It instills a dread so deep its nipping at your very bones. Stomach dropping gaze over a depressed shoulder. A tender murmur for a broken heart, a deep bite when you reach for the things it teases you with. Making you feel like the dirt it wishes it weren't, making you disgrace what loves you.

So Coo has to prove that he should totally love her and like her, so..."Break" him. With gaining his trust and showing off, fighting in that war he's a part of. Which he eventually buckles under, and he gets a long moment of denial and flustered noises.
