I read somewhere that you don’t have to be perfect to experience healthy love and I couldn’t agree more. I’m also happy that these conversations are being had because sometimes the wrong messages can be sent across social media. Love is not perfect, to me, perfect is boring. Love, to me, is a big, beautiful adventure full of untapped stories that you and your partner will develop over time. ⠀
I used to think I had to be perfect to be worthy of experiencing a love that was dynamic- a painless love. I thought I had to have it allll together but whew, I was wrong.⠀
What I have learned and i am still learning everyday, is that I just have to wake up each day ready and open to love again. Ready to not only love my man but to love myself. Ready to explore my being and his. Ready to navigate all the twists and turns of the day ahead of us with an open mind and heart. Ready to create. Ready to feel and listen to understand. Ready to just be this young black woman exploring this big beautiful adventure❣️⠀
