thing is, and I'm very sure u know that if youve studied that stuff, anon, the fat placement on men vs women is very different around the ass, so I could use the pic as inspo, but not really as ref, if u get what I mean. These ones are a good showcase I'd say:

this also goes for the stomach/bellybutton, which is why I also couldn't use the muscles n placement in the pic either because sitting on ur heels pushes up the fat placement around the stomach and stretches the fat around the leg. I mean, you can, but if I'll try to draw Marc, I'll wanna try Marc if that makes sense

aight, better. And sure, you can do quite a lot with hand placement (I stared at Marc's hands a lot, his knuckles tend to turn a more ruddy shade with exertion) and the fat that any normal person has, but sadly one Marc Marquez has about -4 % body fat. His ass is made of muscle which makes it being so fat funnier because he worked hard for that thang.

the other problem I encountered was the very specific pose of the original, because you can find many refs of squatting (the angle is wrong here but you get what I mean)

but those poses let the calf push up against the thigh, because the feet are left apart like that. ehhhhhh

like this, right? It means the calves are pushing up against the thigh, which is a different position of the muscles than in the inspo, because there the feet are tugged closer together to create that shadow on the calf, like this:

And it makes sense for men to keep the feet apart when squatting down because there's a dick n balls in the middle. Meaninggggggggg I couldn't 'just' use the other refs I put here because that's not how the muscles are going to positioned if I want the shadow on the calf + the shoes to make sense.

aka, this thing very quickly turned from a chill evening doodle to me sitting several hours on it, trying to figure out where the fuck Marc's belly button would be positioned if he tipped his hips sliiiightly in while using his massive hands to pull up a string in a way makes me nawt go insane about hip-bone placement. And calves. A lot of calf-staring.
