Also, anyone else frustrated by Carol's continuing incapacitation? This is our first full season with her and she's taken out of action for several eps by a wee piece of shrapnel and a high fever? Have we forgotten who this woman is? Have we forgotten what a force of nature she is? All she's survived? Every battle? Every hoard? I get that it's a plot device to keep her stranded in the village emotionally connecting like the woman she is with all the sad Spanish peeps while Daryl goes off and does all the manly action stuff. But who asked for that? (Also we shouldn't SEE your plot devices, that's bad writing). And yeah, I get that in reality, an injury like this would absolutely play out the way it's playing out on the show. But we aren't coming to TWDU for medical reality, people. The characters in this show, in these genres, routinely walk away from injuries that should incapacitate them in reality. They get knocked down, shot up, blown up, beaten to a pulp. They fall off a bridge in a rusty van and walk away with a limp. They get shot in the shoulder and moments later use that arm to punch someone in the face. If they stop to recover in real time then the story stops and we get bored. Or in Carol's case, every time she stops to heal, some whimsical dude comes along and tries to look after her and woo her into a quiet existence by his side and WE ALREADY DID THIS WITH EZEKIEL AND IT LASTED 5 FUCKING YEARS LONGER THAT IT SHOULD'VE. Get that magnificent woman back fighting zombies, preferably alongside a soulmate that is recognisable as her long-lost soulmate.

Yep, they done this before. And Zeke was an actual honorable suitor for Carol's affections.

wanting depressed and traumatized middle aged characters to kiss and hold hands can truly be something incredibly personal. 

telling me not to ship caryl makes me ship it harder to be quite honest

ive definitely talked abt this before, but i literally cannot relate to the posts that are like "ohhh you guys ship them romantically when theyre soo much more interesting as friends". i contain multitudes. i think they are best friends. i think they are lovers. i think they are soulmates in a way that cant be categorised. these statements dont conflict.

it’s so funny how most of the characters in twd survive by using brutal violence but carol made it over a decade by using pure unadulterated scheming. and sometimes also brutal violence

haven't watched twd since like. 2018? I think? but I love coming on here and checking in on the carylers every once in a while bc u guys are always undergoing the craziest shit. like I'll show up every few months to be like hey what are they pulling THIS time to keep carol and daryl apart and y'all are like oh his new love interest is a literal actual nun half his age. and I'm like yeah sounds about right see you guys next year.

I want Carol and Daryl to become romantic Canon. Because I know that they would redefine and reinvent the dynamics of that category. Just as they both have done with their individual character arcs, their friendship and the genre as a whole. If they became romantic canon, it would not be the stereotypical romance in any way. Just as their bond and their love for one another is unlike any other, so would their romance be.
