Quasartico Honoured for Revolutionising Holographic Infrastructure

Quasartico has been presented with the Innovation in Public Technology Award at last night’s International Technology & Infrastructure Awards, recognising the company’s pioneering work in holographic systems and Pokémon safety technology! The ceremony drew major players from across the tech sector, with Silph Co. and Devon Corp among the notable attendees.

The award celebrates Quasartico’s contributions to the development of large-scale holographic environments, including the Battle Zone training facilities used by licensed trainers, as well as the Wild Zone programme which sees the safe housing of wild Pokémon in urban locations.

Judges also praised the company’s continued advancement of virtual Pokémon tagging systems in these Wild Zones, with plans to expand outside of the city. The technology allows Rangers and authorised conservation teams to digitally identify and monitor wild Pokémon without the need for permanent physical tags, providing real-time information on migration patterns, injuries, nesting grounds and protected habitats. Officials say the system has already improved search-and-rescue operations and reduced unnecessary disturbance to vulnerable Pokémon populations.

This marks another milestone for Chief Executive Taunie Abbott, who assumed leadership of Quasartico at an unusually young age following the retirement of the company’s founder. Though some industry analysts initially questioned whether the then-18-year-old could lead one of the world’s largest technology firms, Quasartico has thrived under her tenure. Accepting the award, Abbott dedicated the achievement to the company’s engineers, scientists, researchers and field teams.
