No but like for real any single time I've seen arguments for Rudy Knight for thematic stuff are either a) Omg failing marriage Rudygore gay doomed lovers or b) Carol Knight and her motivations for being the Knight but with infinitely worse signposting and meaningful relevance. Like yeah I GUESS you could link King to Rudy in a Rudy Knight sense, but also what about Queen?? Queen, the character who is very unsubtly an extension of Carol?? Queen, the character who deeply loves Noelle but is ultimately keeping her captive and eventually Noelle stands up to her?? Really all the motivations for Rudy Knight that isn't just sloppily repackaged Carol Knight stuff is some Walter White ass "I need to help my family and I'm going to die soon anyways so why not just start doing a bunch of bullshit to save Dess since I'm not doing much else to help her by sitting around in a hospital bed"

Do people actually genuinely believe the Rudy Knight theory I thought it was just a bit like "yeahaha the knight is the hospitalized dying man" I have not once seen someone seriously put it forth am i just living in ignorant bliss

I thought it was like a Papyrus Knight tier bit too until like people actually started to compile evidence like "Rudy is able to stand sometimes" and "The Knight seems to be 'weakened' or barely holding itself together and Rudy's illness would impact it" and other conspiracy theory red string evidence that ultimately ignores how Dess and even Carol would be far better for this all. I really don't care for the idea of Dess simply being motivation and she's actually just genuinely down in Gaster's toilet or whatever still lost and a little damsel in distress

when a character does something unsympathetic or cruel that may not be excusable but still understandable and makes the character complex and human and the audience forgets that the character is a character which is to say a narrative tool and not a real person or their personal friend and go grrrrrr that is so ooc grrrrr how dare u try and tell a complex story grrrrrrrrrrr

one time i was making potato soup and i needed broth for it but i was out of broth. but in my dog food cabinet there was a carton of chicken broth that i had bought for my dog. now the box did say HUMAN GRADE and the ingredients were just bog standard chicken broth. it did say something about joint health for dogs on there. but the ingredients were normal. i even compared the ingredients list to some normal person broth and they were the same. so i did put dog broth in that soup and it did taste completely normal. but i did use the dog broth.
