The Beauty of Scripture

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

I will surely bless you, and I will surely multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and as the sand that is on the seashore.

Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.

Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.

A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

For your ways are in full view of the Lord, and He examines all your paths.

For You formed my inward parts; You knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are Your works; my soul knows it very well.

The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.

The king is not saved by his great army; a warrior is not delivered by his great strength. The war horse is a false hope for salvation, and by its great might it cannot rescue. Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His steadfast love,

When you harvest the crops in your field and you forget a bundle in the field, do not return to get it. It will be for the benefit of the resident alien, the fatherless, and the widow, so that the Lord your God may bless you in everything your hands do.

I will be like the dew to Israel; he shall blossom like the lily; he shall take root like the trees of Lebanon.

Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth. 

And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness.

Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it.

Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

I have blotted out your transgressions like a cloud and your sins like mist; return to Me, for I have redeemed you.
