yes I did not draw the masks or hoods out of laziness b4 you ask and also yes Biana is vanishing because I’m lazy

but anyways I know exillium is supposed to exemplify anonymity and like solo ride until I die type attitude HOWEVER I did feel like matching their colors and patterns to their hemispheres because I think it adds to the idea of like being a reject from your regular society. Their clothes unlike the other elves I’ve drawn do NOT emphasize abilities, and I know everyone on here has a uniform with a color BUT every single piece of their designs all match eachother. meaning like it’s the same exact lightness or darkness or whatever, just a different hue, so like yes we’re all anonymous yes we’re all individual and belong to our own groups BUT we are also all connected…

on that, because they are rejects from their society, specifically noble life, they are not wearing anything aligned with them. like they don’t have capes they have scarf things and they also deeply align themselves with nature, but not in a typical manner. I think the nature thwy focus more on is things like patterns and survival. which brings me to the different pieces of the hemispheres

the pants for example are one way. I thought it would be cool to have both connected to the patterns of nature- the left side uses a more concealing coloration- it’s a simple way a lot of animals blend in but it’s effective. whereas the right is a little more creative using sort of like mimicry of light (baby animals have this- think fawns and how fheir backs are spotty. This helps them blend in when the light hits the leaves, creating a dappled effect). As for ambis, they are a combination of their counterparts… guys did this even make sense

As for keefe I was sick and tired of drawing the exillium uniform so he gets his neverseen one. I was thinking about the pattern on the lower cloak, and for him, I feel like it would reflect either his own emotions, or the emotions of another person he’s reading (which probably makes more sense) so there are a variety of different patterns to be used
