If you are interested in the affairs of the kingdom, municipal or political, Gideon is more than pleased to chatter endlessly. 

He worked extensively as a low-tier diplomat in Boralus and other far-flung nations at the beginning of his career. 

Gideon has recently taken up a posting with the Magical Enforcement Bureau and wields a peculiar combination of rapier and arcane magic.

He is an activist and a peaceful reformist, the leader of the new iteration of the Commoner First Party.

I took a Tumblr hiatus, so the fairy and several other messages have been sitting unanswered in my inbox, apologies!

Reasonable and pragmatic unless someone they care about is in peril - which, in the past, tended to be fairly often. As such, Gideon garnered a bit of a reputation as suicidal on the battlefield. However, as an Agent with the Magical Bureau, he’s working to stifle such impulses so that he is able to approach conflict reasonably.

He is responsible and irresponsible in turns - punctual, hardworking and mature, yet an addict and fun-loving in return. Passionate? Certainly, though he’s not the same loud revolutionary some wish him to be. He is undoubtably an idealist and a visionary, who looks for the best in people at every turn.

Usually with an apology, and a pledge to do better. A string of them at once may provoke a bout of drinking or a long, lonesome walk around the city. Gideon used to be exceptionally high-strung, but he has grown accustomed to the rhythms of the city, and the constant undulations of fate. Disaster is inevitable, failure even more so. Taking risks, as he does, makes both all the more likely.

Gideon is, in some ways, a Gatsby-esque figure. He came from common stock, with little more than a basic grasp on literacy for the first several decades of his life. However, after several fortunate turns of fate, a stint in the diplomatic service, and exposure in the House of Nobles, he began to transform himself. Now, the way in which he writes and speaks is indistinguishable from that of a peer of the realm - unless you’re fortunate enough to get him drunk. Personally, he views himself as intelligent. Certainly better-versed in affairs of diplomacy, politics and writing that any Northgate before or since.

1. Gideon is a known workaholic - at present he is the proprietor of the Alliance Free Press, the municipal representative for the Mage Quarter, Stormwind’s Director of Wealth, and a field agent for the Magical Enforcement Bureau. As such, he does have a rather large salary, most of which goes towards his political party or donations to the Cathedral and orphanage. However, he keeps enough to maintain a rather modest flat and to dress himself with exquisite care.

2. He doesn’t enjoy it, but he’ll certainly chip in when required. His partner is rather service-oriented and so the housework is often done before Gideon returns home, a fact which he’s been attempting to change.

3. Quickly. He’ll usually be the first to say the much-coveted words, though he makes a valiant effort to keep from coming on too strong.
