"Nichijou" is a very enjoyable comedy anime and manga series which I certainly recommend. My favourite characters are Hakase and Nano Shinonome. They make a great couple
As I've been growing my library, I have devised a new bookkeeping system others are free to utilize. You may read more below the cut.
For example, a paperback copy of R.L. Stein's "Stay Out of the Basement" from 1992 would likely be labelled as "1992.EN.PB.R.STEIN.2" or "1992.3.2.R.STEIN.2"
This label contains the year of publication or copyright, language or language number, format or format number, author first initial and abbreviated last name (the first 5 letters) followed by an optional order or volume number for your convenience.
Language Numbers (as of 2026) (this is ordered based the current most spoken languages)
0 = Misc / other (use these numbers or abbreviate the language name accordingly into 2 distinguishable letters)
1 = Mandarin Chinese
2 = Spanish
3 = English
4 = Hindi
5 = Portuguese
6 = Bengali
7 = Russian
8 =Japanese
9 = Western Punjabi
Format Numbers (as of 2026)
0 = Misc / other (CDs will be labelled as CD)
1 = Hardcover (HC)
2 = Paperback (PB)
3 = Loose leaves (LL)
There may inevitably be some changes made to this, but as of now, this appears to be the most useful way of organizing books within my personal library. I like to call this system the "Gwen Method" or "Alice Rhythm".
Note: If an author's last name is shorter than 5 letters, repeat the last letter until it reaches 5 total letters. If the author only has one name, use the first 5 letters of that name after using their initial. For example, an author named Tom with no last name would be "T.TOMMM" while an author named Sarah Ann would be "S.ANNNN". Also, if the year of publication for a book or otherwise is unknown, then the year becomes "0000".
For those who are completely new to anime, I'd suggest you watch "Kiniro Mosaic" for it's delightful charms. Karen's my personal favourite from the show
It's important for each of us to have our own personal library, lest we forget our past. Preserving books digitally is one thing, but owning a physical book allows us to hold those words even closer to our hearts. Please do what you can to support your local libraries and freely share your knowledge with others

I'm currently searching for something which may've been called "That Flower Girl Came Back"
