It was a gloomy morning when I received a message from my older brother just as I had woken up...
My dog, Mimi, had passed away.
My heart immediately sank. I just sat there for hours as my emotions came rushing in. Heaving, sobbing, sadness all over. I knew this day would eventually come, since Mimi is already 13 years old, but it's still utterly heartbreaking nonetheless. You know what's even worse? It's that I didn't even get to hug her one last time or say goodbye because I am currently in a different country. I just hope she knew that I didn't abandon her and that I was coming back for her. I just hope she knew that I always thought of her and loved her very deeply. She changed my life in so many little but amazing ways and for that I am so grateful. And I just hope she had a great life being a part of our family as well.
I remember all those moments in the garden, either playing with my little brother or just sitting and enjoying the quiet morning or afternoon. I remember when she was about to give birth, she barked at me and I immediately knew she was having the baby right there and came to her rescue to help her give birth. And helped take care of her little puppies after they were born. I remember our fun trips out of town. I remember meeting up with my friends and their dogs so they could have their own little pack of friends. I remember how she would always take a slipper or a shoe whenever I came home to give it to me because she was so excited. I remember how whenever I feel anxious I just go to her and immediately calm down.
She was the best dog I could ever ask for, and a great friend and she'll always have a special place in my heart forever.
I miss you Mimi, and I love you.
Rewearing my current favorite fit because not enough people have seen it yet 😅 Raise your hand if you’re a proud outfit repeater! 🙋🏻♀️

[16.02.21] Mid-February Junctures
So I’m attending daily German classes for the past four weeks, and I must say, it has been helpful af. I’m glad to say I’m not having a regular meltdown about it anymore hehe :) And most of my classmates are cool too. Unfortunately though I’m not going to continue with the class once the master’s semester starts which is about a week from now. For now I’m enjoying the one free vacation week I have before everything starts getting busy again which means catching up on books, embroidery sessions and maybe shoot some IG content.
Matching my socks with my monday mood. I still firmly believe we should have three-day weekends instead of two but here we are 😅 If you’re reading this though, I hope you have a great week ahead! ✨ #happymonday (at Zürich, Switzerland) https://www.instagram.com/p/CLT9wpXnBML/?igshid=273pdu44m8mj

Slight confession time: I really miss being able to hang out at coffee shops. Either with friends or alone, the smell of coffee brewing and a little bit of ambiance music playing in the background while I sit in the corner and read/chill for a little bit. I just miss that overall vibe in general ☕️ (at Pont Saint-Martin) https://www.instagram.com/p/CKyhualn4hs/?igshid=sl0ea72iiys0
[25.01.21] January Rambles
Finally finished the third semester which felt like two semesters at the same time. Lots of eye rolling and ranting happened in the past few months which most of the time tested my level of patience and tolerance with people. I think this semi-lockdown/not being able to socialize has made me even more of an introvert.
In other news, it’s a new year, which means a glimmer of hope is in the air. Most people have already announced their resolutions and I’m still trying to figure out what mine are. Usually I do make them but somehow I have no motivation to do so. I don’t know, I guess I’m just in a weird headspace right now.
[31.12.20] December Days
I know it’s already late but I just wanted to share some December 2020 memories and weekly spreads. That month was so hectic for two main reasons, first I had a ton of school deadlines which was about 4 papers plus 3 more deadlines on January so basically no time for vacation. And second, in true killjoy fashion, miss rona decided to infect more people forcing the government to make stricter restrictions so basically Christmas markets are definitely out of the picture which is definitely such a bummer.
On a more serious note I definitely felt the blues this holiday season as much as I tried to be positive and cheery. It just feels so different. There’s just this sad aura all around, I guess that’s just how it is.
[23.11.20] NOVEMBER SPREAD
First and second week of November on my bujo. Obssessing over the brown aesthetic lately.
[31.10.20] October Moments
Meant to post this in October but I forgot to queue it haha anyway I finally finished my embroidery project which took me months to finish, mostly because of my overall lack of motivation. But hey, small wins I guess. Also, Covid cases here in Switzerland are steadily rising which means no onsite classes until further notice and masks are mandatory basically everywhere but other than that, there will be no lockdowns (at least not yet) which a lot of European countries are doing right now. Hopefully, it will all get better just in time for the holidays *fingers crossed*. Hope y’all are safe wherever you are.

[23.10.20] Loaded.
Basically drowning in literature and research journals lately which I guess is normal for master studies. Not gonna lie group works really annoy the hell out of me sometimes. It’s just hard when there are a lot of different ideas or lack thereof. Or supposed to be short meetings that turns our longer than needed because people are unprepared. Or last minute submission because no one follows the deadlines. I don’t know, just maybe expected some more competent people since we’re at a “masters level” or maybe I just have too much expectations in general. But I mean come on, step your pussy up a bit you know what I mean? I mean we don’t need to pass a super perfect project to get the highest score possible or whatever, I just don’t want to submit a steaming hot pile of garbage :)
TRAVEL DIARY: Croatian Summer 2020
Was originally planning to go home to the Philippines for the summer but since Covid happened we made an executive decision to postpone our trip and decided to explore more of Europe instead.
To be perfectly honest I had no prior knowledge of how beautiful Croatia is. It’s not as famous (at least in Asia) compared to more popular European countries like France or Italy. Nonetheless I was pleasantly surprised. They have so much rich culture, history and amazing scenic natural destinations. If you haven’t realised yet, they have amazing beaches with crystal clear waters where you can even see small fish swimming freely. My craving for the beach vibe fantasy was immensely satisfied. What I love most about their beaches was that it’s open to the public. Like maybe you just have to pay for the parking, or toilet use, or to rent a beach umbrella but you don’t have to pay access, unlike in the Philippines where you usually need to be checked in the hotel or resort to enjoy the beach or maybe pay an entrance fee of some sort (not all though but it does happen). And everyone leaves it clean as it should be! Would definitely want to visit again!
Are you German? Swiss? Do you have a faq?
I’m Filipino but I’m currently studying in Switzerland :)
[09.10.20] Semester Rants
Tons of school deliverables and group works for this semester with 12 modules and 30 credits. I feel ridiculously overwhelmed. The nice part though is that we’re allowed to go to physical classes because our class is quite small and we have zero exams. People who can’t make it to class can still attend through zoom so it’s a hybrid lecture which can be a bit distracting because the professor’s attention is divided. I’m also super struggling with my German lessons because I seem to not learn anything. We have an hour of zoom lecture per week and the lecturer would just assign tasks for you to do beforehand and just review it in the lecture. Basically you just have to learn by yourself which doesn’t really work for me at all. I wanted to quit the class because it’s just adding to my anxiety but my bf told me not to because it’s free. The number of times I cried in frustration is way too much! I do want to learn but somehow nothing really sticks. And I feel this immense pressure that I should already be proficient because I’m living in Switzerland for a year now. I can feel it through my bf’s friends and relatives. I mean they don’t say it straight to my face but they lowkey imply it from time to time. Cause learning a new language is apparently so easy. And btw Swiss German and regular German is different which makes this scenario even more difficult.
[29.09.20] SEPTEMBER STORIES
Autumn is finally here which means it’s time to swap those jean shorts for some cozy layers. I actually don’t mind the cooler temperatures but here it’s more rainy and gloomy which makes it even more colder and a bit of a hassle to go outside. Also, I finally got myself a haircut and it’s shorter than preferred but I’m kind of digging the medium length hair vibe. In other news, school already started and this semester is fully loaded with modules which means I have a lot of deliverables coming up. Safe to say my anxiety is again through the roof but I guess I’m managing. Baby steps.
