Bad decisions, Great hair

I have certainly seen them! I thought they were very sweet, though I must say, I associate that style of dress with a not very HAPPY time in Claudia and my relationship. She was likely plotting to kill me when skirts became that short and full.

Also, I think Claudia was better dressed than they were. I found their dresses....lacking.

The Happy Days I associate with Claudia are the clothes of the Caroline doll. She also looks a bit like Claudia, though with paler skin and looser curls.

Claudia would have had all three of those dolls. And Samantha, because all Daddy's Girls got Samantha. and Felicity. Because she reminded Louis of his childhood. And Claudie, because they share a name and....

I have been banned from buying jewelry for him for a while. I can't resist going BIGGER when his taste is to the delicate. But let us remember my love is the same predator I am, and don't think he is immune to turning those hunting instincts to my favorite hobby as well, shopping.

Every time we return to New Orleans he combs the Rue Royal for emerald jewelry, never being satisfied. They're too big, they're too small, he doesn't like the cut, they're too expensive. (Louis' net worth is probably more than my own--he's better with his money than I am! But it's the PRINCIPAL of the thing.)

But apparently, he made quite an impression on the owner of one of these stores, and even though she had no emeralds to his taste at the time, she was expecting some in a few days, and she'd give him a call when they came in.

So she did. And for once, my love was pleased with something. A second hand pendant bought at an estate sale, that Louis thinks might have quite a history. So he bought it right away!

It came today. Shall I let him show you?

You have good taste! When she came out of the little box I was very pleased. Really, I would have been happy with any of them, but I do like Happiness ' color. And don't we all need a little more Happiness in our lives?

What? They're cute. Louis once accused me of making a junk shop of eternity, but little did he know I can also make a toy shop of eternity.

Did you really think I'd be able to resist the pure dopamine hit of a BLIND BOX? we are both very grateful I didn't get onto the website in time for that restock last night, or I would have bought a hundred. As it is I was contented with these (likely fake ) ones I found at a local store. Lafufu? They're called? Either way, they're cute. I like luxury goods, but I'm not a brand whore (most of the time!) . If it's cute, it's cute!

I noticed these things hanging off girl's bags a few months ago, didn't think much of them. Thought them a bit odd and ugly. Until I saw a post on This Very Hell Site about Labubu being a mischievous little girl and I took a closer look....

About nine hours later I had one.

They're growing on Louis too. Yesterday it was "they're ugly. I don't see why you want that, Lestat." Now it's "I only want Green Grape, that's it."

I heard the song though. It's....fine. I suppose. Better music than I've heard in a while. But as everything with this show it lacks joy and exuberence in favor of sex appeal. And they CANNOT make Sam Reid look sufficiently queer. I can't put my finger on why. A little subtle glitter does not a queer look make.

Anyway. As I said. Indifference. I don't care. At all. Non. Not me.

👄-whats your favorite accent?

I am partial to the accent associated with New Orleans. It didn't exist when I lived there, it started appearing after I was dead (and if it did, it was not heard in the places I frequented!) but there is something comforting and familiar about it. I can try to imitate it, but I think I always fall short.

Despite spending a lot of time in the American South, I don't have a southern accent. I talk like a damn yankee, and it's been brought up more than once.

Other than that, I like Irish accents, I find them musical and interesting.

And there's something VERY charming about that classic New York City accent I met first in gangster movies. It sounds rough and tough and reminds me of James Cagney.

👅- are there any words you can't pronounce?

Yes! For the longest time consonant clusters at the end of English words baffled my French tongue. For a while "ghosts" was such a challenge it came out as "gossss" . I'm better about it now, but sometimes something will trip me up. You Americans and your consonants!

I don't believe I have ever successfully said Massachusetts.

🌸- what's the most memorable dream you ever had?

Did you read the post I made a long time ago about the dream I had where Claudia was alive and turned toddlers at the playground? That was a good one! Still think about that one.

⛪- have you ever climbed a roof?

Yes! There was a part of the roof of the castle i grew up in that was accessible out a window. My brothers and I climbed it when I was young, before we grew apart.

So what you don't know is that I have been called buttercup before. Extremely disparagingly. Won't tell you by who. So that's already apt.

It does sound like what I imagine Claudia's mind sounded like at times. In one of her....less ragingly angry moods. Just the standard angry-at-her-father phase all children go through.

Yes, immensely. They're both calming and exhilarating. Even as a mortal I used to love them, they were so relaxing to fall asleep to.

Which is good because it's been RAINING CONSTANTLY.

I'd be an idiot not to. I've seen it, multiple times with my own eyes. See; aforesaid Mayfair Witches.
