"May I see you again?" he asked.

"I must work," she frowned, her eyes lowered.

"Please. Here with you I have found more peace than I have felt in decades," he confessed.

"I find your presence very comforting," she admitted and his heart warmed.

"When?"

"I come here on Saturdays to sew, it is my only spare time."

"I will be here," he said, hope blossoming in his chest. It was a dangerous game to be sure, but he was already addicted to her presence.

"Until then," she pulled her hand from his and vanished into the woods.
