It's not that people don't believe Voldemort favoured Snape, I do think he chose Snape for more specific tasks, or because Snape deliberately took actions to make Voldemort see him in a favourable light. That was part of his job as a spy after all. But we can't forget that Voldemort also greatly favoured Barty, and even praised him, which already takes Snape off that untouchable pedestal a bit.
Another undeniable element is Bellatrix and Voldemort having a romantic involvement, not that he loved her or was some respectful prince, but there are many elements in the narrative that suggest scenes between the two of them, and show how much he trusted or spoke to her as if they were already quite close. And no, this isn't Bellamort propaganda. I'm just pointing out that other characters mattered too. And the tags called me here...so.
Is there anything in what I said that claims otherwise? He has favorites. Yeah Barty is one of them, but then he dies. That’s the entire point of what I’m saying, there’s a hierarchy within the Death Eaters and once Barty dies, Snape is in the top of the chain. None of this negates the fact that SNAPE was favored within the Death Eaters.
Yeah there’s definitely SOME hints and something going on between Voldemort and Bellatrix in the books, but honestly it seems very one sided. Voldemort is often telling Bellatrix to shut up or stop doing what she’s doing. Sure, they might have been fucking, but they did not have a romantic relationship. That sort of goes against the entire major plot point of ‘Voldemort does not understand or care about love.’
Even if Barty were alive past book 4, I still think Voldemort would like Snape more, because Voldemort is completely self centered and has more in common with Snape. He likes Snape because he likes himself, and he and Snape are similar. The reasons he likes Barty, Snape, and Bellatrix are different. He likes that Barty is competent, he likes that Bellatrix worships him, and he likes that he and Snape are similar (and that Snape is competent, but that ties in with the similarities.)
If it were one sided, Voldemort would not have risked exposure to save her at the Ministry, trusted her with his Horcrux, screamed when she died, tried to kill her killer, called her 'Bella' or even had a child with her. He does not do these things with or for anyone else. Not for Snape. Not for Barty. Not for Lucius. Only for Bellatrix. The hints are not one sided. They point to a unique, personal attachment.
Reducing their relationship to a physical act is dismissive and even rather misogynistic. The intimacy is not just physical. It is emotional. He saves her. He trusts her. He trains her. He tries to avenge her. He is attached to her. He does not need to love her for the relationship to be significant. Attachment, possession, and need are not love, but they are not nothing. The text shows that she was the exception.
The major plot point is that Voldemort can not love indeed, but It does not say he can not feel attachment, possession, need, or grief. He can feel these things, but he just can't understand them. His inability to understand love does not mean he can not feel something for Bellatrix. He can feel attachment. He just can not process it.
If Voldemort liked Snape because they were similar, why did he kill him coldly? He appreciated Snape, but the dynamic was as transactional and cut and dry as it gets. It was completely pragmatic. He killed Snape and walked away without a backwards glance. Voldemort uses people. He discards them. Snape was useful and eventually was discarded/killed.
Bellatrix was also competent, btw if that equals to talent. She is described as a witch of 'prodigious skill.' She was personally trained by Voldemort. If competent means never failing, then Voldemort had more in common with Bellatrix than with Snape hehe. He messed up as often as she did.
He liked Barty's competence yes, but he forgets him when he dies. He is never mentioned again, not even in passing. He likes Bellatrix's worship, yes, but he also trains her, saves her, attempts to avenge her, and has a child with her (no idc whether you 'accept it' as canon as Rowling already settled that).
The hierarchy is clear. Snape was killed coldly. Barty was forgotten, never mentioned again. Bellatrix was trained, saved, trusted, mourned and yes even fucked. She was the exception. Shipping, on the other hand, is completely personal, and you all can do whatever. But I won't stand for female characters being dismissed while male characters whom Voldemort canonically either killed or didn't give a fuck about being put even in the same sentence with Bellatrix Black Lestrange. Let alone being more liked than her or mattering to him more. Nope.

Who was better in bed, Rodolphus or Voldemort? How do you feel about the generally accepted headcanon within the HP fandom that Voldemort was asexsual/aro? Or do you think he got around in his prime? Do you think Bellamort were closer during the first war or the second? Do you think Voldemort was particularly violent towards Bellatrix, and why did they have that bastard child Delphi?
Poor bastard child Delphi :(

Imagine being this pathetic to include a women in your story, just so you can humiliate her.
Make no mistake, all of this comes from feelings of jealousy and insecurity. Oh and misogyny we can't forget the big one!

You know, i really like that actually. JKR has enough money to dress in expensive haute couture brands every single day of the year, yet on her birthday she chooses to wear and highlight the work of an independent craftswoman who can probably use the publicity and seems to have genuine talent and passion for what she does. Just look at her website's About page:
No wonder she caught Jo's interest!
When and how do you think Bella and Rod started dating?
Hii, thanks for the question! 🖤
I have mostly sweet headcanons for those two dating 🥺 Rodolphus is definitely harder to characterize since we have so little canon information, so my headcanons about him change a lot too, so I'll give the happy version too:

Do you see tiktok crashing out over some straight women saying they don't want to date bisexual men?
I'll admit I'm probably a bit of an outlier here, but think people can refuse to date anyone or any group of people for any reason at all. And demanding someone examine and "unpack" those stances is a type of sexual coercion. I don't think you show good allyship by sharing your vagina.
I don't have tik-tok. But yeah, that's not a new attitude. I agree with you, people do what they want when it comes to sex. Even if it's based on prejudice and not personal experience, even if the prejudice is unfair, your body just can't just be forced into wanting what it doesn't want. No means no, end of discussion!
