Excuse me, you wouldn't know where I could locate some French Tarragon? It goes very well with fresh parsley on a roasted chicken.
The musketeer smiled politely and he answered, âwell mademoiselle, I would suggest you try the marketplace. Have you tried there?â Dâartagnan questioned.Â
(Sorry itâs so late darling)Â
"I havenât," Prizz replied honestly. "Would that be the one two blocks over and one block south?"
(no problem, weâve both had our âŚissues))
"I could walk you there if youâd like," the Gascon politely offered. It was clear to him that she wasnât from the immediate area.Â
That wasn't what she'd meant but . . . "Oh! Thank you, that would be very kind." She decided to be truthful. "I'm not really a local, just . . . visiting." That would work for now.

The Prizz and AJ: A matter of National Security
Minerva stood quietly, absorbing the officerâs explanation, but not exactly understanding them. Hacked into government sites? She looked down at Robbie, but the boy didnât make eye contact. Guilty. She would have given him a disappointed look but he wouldnât have seen it. Instead, she sighed. Glancing down at the card, she registered the womanâs name and number, but by the time she looked up again, she and the boy were gone.
âŚâŚâŚâŚ..
Kneeling beside her coffee table in her apartment, Minerva was surrounded by an assortment of World History quizzes. No Jenny, knowing that Hitlerâs wife committed suicide as well will not get you extra points if you do not know the stipulations of the Geneva convention. She took a sip of her root beer float as her cell rang from across the room. The theme from Jaws. It was appropriate. She paused so her smile wouldnât seem quite as fake and slid her finger across the screen. âMinerva Prizzle,â she said.
"Oh yeah. It appears this young man here, has discovered top-secret intelligence involving some very dangerous federal and national security projects. My co-worker and I traced his ip address directly to his homeâŚ." AJ explained carefully. She had to leave out vital information for the safety and security of all of those involved.
"Weâre only taking him into protective custody. Itâs up to the Feds wether or not they will pursue charges against him," she added softly.
******************
At the Foundation AJ had made sure Robbieâs every need was met and that he was comfortable. She knew that protective custody wasnât always a very comfortable to be forced into. AJ herself had been placed under F.L.A.G.âs protective custody when her high-ranking boss from the police department tried to kill her.Â
"Look, Robbie, I know that you are pretty intelligent and this has to be a tad frightening. But believe me, there are so pretty intense bad guys after that information you downloaded. We brought your computer here for safe keeping. We did talk to your parents⌠but you can make a call if youâd like.Â
She had left him alone for no more than five minute and he was gone. The drapes and curtains fluttered in the unsettling breeze  and her eyes opened in alarm. âROBBIE?â She shouted but no answer came.  It would appear he made a run for it. Her eyes scanned the area for a sign of trouble or even a struggle, but she didnât find one.Â
"Miss Minerva Prizzle?Itâs Agent Liberty. It appears our little hacker neglected to tell me that he might have attached the top-secret information to a document he handed in to you for class. Iâm afraid we are going to need your co-operation⌠and do you, by any chance, know where Robbie would run if he got scared? Is he with you?" She questioned.
the-prizz
Minerva's first instinct was to panic. Robbie had been in her care and she considered herself responsible for where he currently was - or was not. His parents would blame her, and she would stand there and take it because she blamed herself as well.
The agent repeated her name, confused by the silence on her line. "Yes, um . . . I don't . . ." she stopped, trying to think clearly. "May I meet with you? In person?" She was uncomfortable giving out anything else over the phone. And she needed time to think things over.
Robbie was now gone, which didn't surprise her. He hated staying to face the consequences, whether it was a talking-to or a detention, and especially if it was what he saw as a jail sentence. And now he had involved her in his deception, something she did not appreciate at all. Agreeing to meet Agent Liberty at her office, she snatched up her laptop and called a cab.
At the office, Minerva opened her laptop and searched through her files, Agent Liberty looking over her shoulder. "See anything that looks more like confidential government information than an essay on the history of the progressive tax system?"
"Watch where you're going." ((not entirely rudely, but "hey there foxy mama" didn't fit real well; and they really haven't talked, so i can envision them having deep philosophical discussions))
Something Digory didnât like was getting into fights, especially in ones he knew he would get hurt and lose. He didnât even know what he did but he raised both arms to show he meant no harm, âSorry!â
Prizz regretted snapping at the boy for what was her own fault, but she wouldn't admit it now. "It's nothing," she said bruskly, "just . . . you know . . ." She faded off, with no real advice to give. "What book have you got there?" She latched on to the one ice breaker she could always fall back upon.
The Prizz and AJ: A matter of National Security
AJ drew up to her full height as she stood before the gatekeeper, or in this case the nosey teacher. With a stern tone she answered, âsorry. The information is on a need to know bases and right now, you donât need to know.âÂ
The agentâs hand came to rest upon the boyâs shoulder so that he didnât have a choice but to stick with her.Â
"Now, I need you to step aside, or you could be charged with interfering in Federal matters," she warned, daringly allowing her eyes to remain locked upon the woman. Her jaw set to the locked position as if to present further challenge.
the-prizz
Minerva raised one eyebrow. She liked a bit of sass, but not particularly when it was directed at her. Defiantly, she did as she was told, stepping aside for the agent, but followed her down the hall, determined not to let the boy out of her sight.
"Robbie is my student, madam, and I have a personal responsibility to his parents. I need some piece of information to be able to pass along what has happened and where he is. Beyond that, you have now frightened every other child in my classroom and I need to be able to assure them that their friend is safe and will soon be returned to them, and no one else will be removed in similar fashion." She stopped for a breath, and changed to a less defensive stance. It would do nobody any good to get herself on the wrong side of the law - providing this girl was actually the law.
AJ swiveled around to face the teacher who had followed them into the hallway. When addressed as Maâam, it took every ounce of restraint within the young ladiesâs features to keep from correcting her.Â
"Well Maâam, I am going to be very frank with you. Robert here, is being taken to the F.L.A.G. headquarters where he will be placed under protective custody. Â It would appear this mastermind gained access to highly confidential information that could threaten national security. There are people after him at this moment and every second he spends out in the open is putting him and our nationâs security at risk." Then with an exasperated sigh she breathed, "here is my card. It has a direct line to the F.L.A.G.âs headquarters in case you or his parents need to call. However donât exactly get the idea that any information will be given to anyone." She slipped the card into the teacherâs hands.
"Tell your class that Robert will return when the threat has been neutralized and or resolved. Tell them anything but donât discuss that this is a matter of national security because if Iâm being honest, I think my divulging that information could get me fired," the irritated agent calmly remarked.
"What? Why would they think there would be more extractions from class?" The agent mused aloud. "I can assure you that unless the entire class has hacked into the governmental sites, no one else will be extracted from your class." She reassuringly stated. Her hand still on the younger boyâs shoulder and her stance retaining the authoritative air.Â
"Is there anything that requires further delay?" AJ inquired, trying to maintain a professional dignity. As a cop she had her fair share of difficult arrests, detainments, and even conversations with victims and offenders. However this teacher was gnawing away little by little at her nerves.
Had she been in a more entertained mood, AJ would have jokingly suggested that the teacher accompany them. But she was hardly in the mood to entertain and take responsibility for a seemingly stubborn woman.Â
"I have to go. Sorry. Good bye," the curly hair agent decisively stated. Spinning hot on her heels with the kid in toe she was determined to make a hasty exit.

Rubbing the back of his neck, Emeth laughed breathily. âNo, I doth suppose naught. There wouldst be hardly a reason for Calormene nobles to find themselves here.â But he was no noble. Not anymore.
Would meeting people in Narnia always be this hard? This was far from the first time the man wished he was not so blatantly foreign. Wished his speech was not so flourished. It stung deeply; being judged for a life he had chosen to leave behind so long ago. All the more so after all heâd done to prove his loyalty to Narnia and to Aslan.
Yet, a meek, dimpled smile filled his cheeks at her final words. With so many keeping their distance from Emeth and Chaniya and distrusting them, even one offer of friendship was golden and cherished. âThen, good lady, let us set off! We shalt be resting with full bellies and happy spirits in a matter of minutes.â
Prizz noticed the touch of sadness in his eyes. "Oh, I am sorry, I didn't mean to be rude. I'm probably one of hordes who mention it. Of course you have as much right to be here as anyone."
She followed as the Calormene led the way. "I'm Minerva, by the way, Minerva Prizzle. I'm over by Beruna." She gestured to the west, then realized she had no idea where exactly she was. She gestured east as well, just to be sure.

The Prizz and AJ: A matter of Naitonal Security
AJ confidently walked into the school with her head of curls held high and proud. The ex-cop turned F.L.A.G. agent barely gave the administration time to study the shiny badge before she entered the main hallways of the school.
Class was in session but the agent didnât care. All she knew was that the Nationâs security rested upon getting the child to safety and in keeping Com-tron from getting hold of the secret documents. Past experiences with Com-tron and Garthe Knight, whose blood thirsty and vengeful nature was well known to the members of the F.L.A.G. Staff, became reason enough enough for Devon, her superior, to demand that the child be taken into protective custody. Garthe and Com-tron didnât care that the kid had accidentally gained access to the top secret and vital information, theyâd kill him and anyone else who got in the way.
Without knocking, AJ burst into the classroom. Using her police-officer and authoritarian tone she announced,âpardon me, but I need to see Robert J. Anderson⌠and I assure you this can not wait.â
She flashed her badge yet again and stated, â Agent Liberty of F.L.A.G. and youâre to come with me. Gather your things. You arenât in trouble I assure you. Iâll explain things to you on our way.â Â AJ was doing her best to stay intentionally vague so that she didnât endanger the other thirty some sets of eyes and ears that were now closely watching her.Â
the-prizz
Minerva Prizzle glared at the intruder. She paused to wait for an explanation, but it became apparent she would not get one. She watched the darting eyes of her other students as they watched Robbie stand and organize his textbooks. Not on her watch.
She darted in between the policewoman and the door, her hand on the knob. "I'm sorry," she said with false politeness, "but why are you taking my student?" She had a feeling this would not end well.
Open to anyone:
The window clung to the morning fog desperately, as a departing soul cherishes each breath that lingers in his or her lungs. It was still morning, a period of the day that AJ despised, save for the allowance of a fresh brew of coffee.Â
She cradled the cup as if it were a small bag of valuable coins that she could not afford to lose. Sipping the steaming liquid she let out a soft pre pondering smile; one that clearly read âI have impish plans and they will remain a mystery until I choose to reveal them.â
The sudden stirring of footsteps behind her, caused AJ to causally place the hot cup on the table. With a knowing smile, she announced, âIâve been expecting you.âÂ
"Always know where to find you," Prizz came up behind her with her own tall cup of black coffee. "How full is yourâs? Can I talk to you yet?" She leaned over to estimate the amount still in Alyssaâs mug, judging her internal caffeine content. Personally, Prizz never talked to anybody until she had one full cup injected intravenously into her bloodstream.
AJ smirked and glanced over her shoulder at the familiar ladyâs approach.Â
"Mine isnât that full any more. Besides, I had two cups already. How about you? You still working on your first or have you bravely reached the second?" AJ chirped in response. Had she not already had a few cups, she might have been less personable not to mention half asleep.
the-prizz
"Second here. I can take the time to enjoy this one." She sat across from her at the table.
"Question for you: we're about to reach the point in my government class about secret service and espionage, and I was wondering if I could sign you up for a guest instructor, so to speak. I know it isn't specifically your department, but you know ten times the amount I do, and I think some real-life experience would interest the students. It's only a unit study, so it would only be maybe once a week for a month."

"Please, thou need not leave." The tall Tarkaan called over his shoulder as he heard footsteps behind him. "My daily meditation I hath just finished, thou art interrupting naught. Comest, sit with me and let us talkst. Tis naught often I get visitors in this part ofâŚ
Of Peace And Introductions [Emeth and Prizz]Â Â Â
Rising gracefully to his feet, Emeth turned to face the woman. Dropping into a low bow, he nodded. âAs sure as the sun doth rise in the east, O my lady.â He replied softly.
âYes, over yond.â The Tarkaan answered, pointing upriver in the direction of his little house. Emeth wasnât surprised to hear the poor woman had gotten lost. The woods were quick thick in these parts, and it was quite easy to get turned around if you didnât know where you were going. He himself had actually stumbled upon this little Grove by accident, having been lost himself after he first moved in. The first few times he returned to meditate, Emeth wasnât sure he could find it again. But now, he could find his place blindfolded.
âI am Emeth Tarkaan, the son of Harpha Tarkaan, my lady. It wouldst be my honor to point thee in the right direction, but first what say you to a cup of warm cider ale and a light lunch? If I amst not so mistaken, my sister shouldst be close to finished readying it now. We dost receive many guests naught, and I knowst some company of a fellow woman wouldst do her marvelous much.â
Prizz took a step back at his display, catching her off-guard. "I . . . thank you?" She nodded at his introduction. "There haven't been Tarkaans in this region for several years, or perhaps I just don't get out much," she added, mostly to cover her back, but there was a stinging truth about it. Maybe company would do her good. "Oh, I'm not lost, I don't think, I've just never been here before. But I'll take you up on the offer, cider is a welcoming treat as the days grow shorter, and colder, as well as the promise of friendship."
