Here's a lovely gate I saw in Catania a couple of years ago – I would love to go there again sometime!
Take Five
Remembering this.
Intentional camera movement is something I really enjoyed playing with, especially tracking people moving through the streets in the rain.
This was taken on the day Neptune moved from Aquarius into Pisces; it takes around 165 years for a full cycle, so this was a once in a lifetime experience.
Random Stuff
Some people are born old. Imagine a little old bearded baby-man!
I always return my shopping trolley to the correct location, I park nicely, and I never clap when my aeroplane lands.
You don't know me but that doesn't seem to worry you. You are far more interested in telling me about yourself.
we never expected it to happen like this, to be this popular.
If you can feel comfortable with not immediately understanding things, it’s easier to stay relaxed, curious, and to enjoy the process.
I feel like I need to shed my skin, like some kind of reptile who's skin is old and withered. I want to feel new and interesting, not old and boring always doing the same things.
I always text someone when I'm gonna take a shower cuz I'm always afraid I'm gonna fall in the shower and die.
Do I surf? I can barely walk across flat ground successfully.
Yesterday I was on the struggle bus.
My ex father-in-law lived there.
He's about as handy as a small saucepan.
Not a flower in sight but lots of buttons were undone.

Bulrushes crowd close to the shore. Ripples lap against last year's reads washed up in bundles. Distant clouds build grey over mountains. A pair of ravens pass overhead making throaty remarks. The wind picks up, rattling through the bare branches of the ash trees and quieting the early spring birds from pronouncing their territories. A chill now sets in the air. The wind grows stronger. Rain, seen over water as distant white sheets of falling mist, approaches fast.
Tiramisù
This is my Tiramisù recipe that I’ve developed and adapted over the last few years.
(Serves 4) Ingredients. At least 4 strong espresso (to taste). 2 eggs, separated. 25 - 30g caster sugar. 250g tub of mascarpone. Around 10 sponge biscuits. 2 or 3 tbsp of dark rum, brandy etc (optional). Cocoa powder, to dust (or grated chocolate). Method. Make espresso and allow to cool. Seperate the eggs putting the whites and yolks into separate glass bowls.
Using a standard fork whisk the egg yolks with the sugar until pale and voluminous, then whisk in the mascarpone, around half at a time, until smooth and well combined. With a whisk, whisk the egg whites until stiff. Gently fold the whites into the mascarpone mixture with a large spoon, being careful to knock as little air out as possible. Pour the coffee plus alcohol into a dish. Lay biscuits in the liquid quickly so they absorb it evenly until the base is covered. Spoon the mascarpone mixture on top, followed by a teaspoon of cocoa sprinkled through a small sieve, or some grated dark chocolate. Cover or wrap whole dish in clingfilm and refrigerate for at least six hours, plus an hour in the freezer before serving.
A line of stone-faced crows dressed in funereal outfits huddle on telephone wires shoulders hunched against the chill morning air. The distant lowing of a cow echoes through the still mist. The smell of silage hangs damply in the air.
Your Hands
Your hands look like they have a character of their own, like your fingers know how to move with precision and sensitivity. They are nicely shaped, they have very pleasing proportions.
I watch transfixed as you peel potatoes at the kitchen sink. You turn to me as if to reply, but instead you simply look at me with hooded eyes while your hands continue peeling.

The Lake Isle Of Innisfree
I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree, And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made: Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honey-bee, And live alone in the bee-loud glade.
And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow, Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings; There midnight's all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow, And evening full of the linnet's wings.
I will arise and go now, for always night and day I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore; While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements grey, I hear it in the deep heart's core.
W. B. Yeats
