Painted _ Magic

Today , I felt an unseen crow. I can’t explain how , but I could feel that there was a crow in my presence at work . My teacher and I concluded that this was a crow sent to teach me to embrace the darkness . I live in constant fear of every choice I make and I fall into hours of depression . Deep dark waters of depression that threaten to drown me . But this crow , he’s come with the message “embrace me and I will teach you to embrace the dark .” And his name is onyx .

Here is the first painted spell . I’m still trying to create the flow of this magical prices I’m working with . But this is part one of the hero’s journey , beginning with “the call”. Painted with herbs and oils for courage to begin and a sigil to follow the call . I make the pact with my dieties that I will follow the call .

The first painted spell I’m creating , EVER , is being prepped . It’s going to be a spell in a few parts because it will be depicting the hero’s journey . A journey that takes strength , courage , and patience . So to begin , I have lavender and rose crushed in my mortar and pestal and sweet pea oil all for courage to answer the call .

The two first readings showed me a future that I was not ready to face . A future that requires me to let go of something precious that I could not imagine my life without . The last reading I believe tells me that my goddesses have heard me and are offering hope that I don’t have to do anything but try and fight to keep what is precious to me and it will grow .

This is the oracle deck I have been practicing with and bonding with . Her name is lunamar . She is more than a deck of cards to me . She is my partner in my magical practice and my friend in this journey . I’m just beginning to learn how to interpret her without using the book ,with the help of my teacher .

My husband gave me a new table easel with drawers for Christmas . So I’m using it to paint the rough drafts of what will become my painted spells . They’ll include various oils and herbs mixed in to the paint as well as a sigil filled with intention .
