the fang gang really is just every vampire the masquerade play group ever down to the name

i was kinda disappointed that the ep was more or less just a set-up for the season (and by far the weakest iwtv season premiere), but 2x01 is similarly an introduction to the new season so idk i don't wanna judge too harshly. what bothers me a lot tho is the dialogue. what the fuck is lestat talking about. why does he reference tikok dances and labubus (the only character who is allowed to have corny lines is daniel). apart from the dialogue the pacing was really off but that's almost certainly on purpose to really show lestats unstable state. on the positive side, vampire daniel was great (hello papi) and armand served his 4 seconds of screentime.
