hello everyone, on the twentieth day of this advent collab I am bringing you the most boring preview picture you will see this December! eleven new custom face sliders!
Here, you will find the following sliders, available in both bodyshop and CAS:
cheekbone width
cheekbone length
jawline squareness
upper lip area width
nose fold rotation (V1 and V2)
nose vertical length
nose tip length
nose bridge shape (V1 and V2)
broken nose

Massive thank you to @angelapleasant for getting this whole event together (you've done a fantastic job!) and to all the other creators who have both been and who's days are yet to come :D
preview pictures explaining as to which slider does what under the cut
Slider #1: cheekbone width
Self explanatory really, makes the cheekbones wider (but not deeper, nor taller). A bit like that one maxis slider but without any brow adjustment
Slider #2: cheekbone height
Makes the cheekbones longer or shorter on the y axis
Slider #3: jawline squareness
Affects the back of the jaw, changes the width without changing the chin or cheek width (unlike the maxis equivalents)
Slider #4: Upper lip width
The name's a bit confusing, it doesn't affect the upper lip but the area immediately above the upper lip, below the nose (I did look to see if it had an official name but that search sadly didn't turn up much). It's a little hard to see in the screenshot, but it makes this area wider or narrower.
Slider #5: nose fold rotation V1
This changes the angle of the nasal folds, rotating them up and down (as I've poorly tried to demonstrate in the screenshot). V1 affects a smaller area than V2, not really affecting any polygons around the mouth
Slider #6: nose fold rotation V2
Does the same thing as V1 nose fold rotation, but affects a larger area - this one moves more polys, including some near the mouth (despite the screenshots I swear they're different!). I only intended to make one slider for this, but couldn't decide which to keep so you get both :D
Slider #7: nose length
This slider makes the nose longer and shorter on the face, but in a different way to maxis' slider for the same thing in that the whole nose is stretched, centered in the middle of the nose, not just the nose tip moving up and down. (please ignore the clipping on the brow! the furthest point on the slider was too much for this guy's face but works fine on others)
Slider #8: nose tip length
like the maxis nose length slider, but only affects the tip of the nose
Slider #9: nose bridge shape V1
Makes the top of the nose bridge narrow and the nose tip wide, or the top of the bridge wide and the tip narrow, forming a triangular shape
Slider #10: nose bridge shape V2
Like slider #9, but affects only the nose bridge and not the nose tip, making it taper inwards our outwards from the top.
Slider #11: broken nose
forms a curve on the nose bridge off to the left, or off to the right, a bit like what you might get if your sim broke their nose

phew, that's all of them! hopefully these are ones that haven't been done before (I didn't previously have any of these, anyway), and that you might find at least some of these useful :D

Did you accidentally make your fence too short, and now there's an ugly extra fence post in the way? Think you'll have to rebuild that whole section of fence to get rid of it? Worry not!
Simply attach another piece of fence to the post you want gone...
... and then manually remove it. The fence post will be removed as well.
Apologies if this is common knowledge, but I only figured it out recently and it's saved me a lot of building time/mild annoyance!

Do you have custom objects (or maybe even Maxis objects) that are not able to be quarter-tile placed, but donāt have the time to painstakingly go through every file to change the values?Ā
Do you have a handful of objects that you need to put down constantly, but it wasnāt enabled in the catalog to do so?Ā
Does that small custom plant sit fine on the table, but wish for your Sims to actually eat at the table (not with food in hand) while the plant sits upon it?Ā
Tired of cars crashing into each other, puddles stacking, etc. and you didnāt grab the hotfix yet?Ā

I just saw a post that mentioned you shouldn't compressorize your mods. "Because mods break when you compress them"
And honestly, as a modder, I must say: that's a myth. I do not know where it comes from, but srsly,
Compressorizing mods should not mess them up. It won't reduce file size by much, so the utility is limited. But it does NOT break them.
Most mods consist of fairly tiny resources: BHAV's, BCON's, sometimes #STR's. They're small to begin with and they can be safely compressed. In fact, the resources you find in mods are no different from resources found in furniture, or even EAxis' own files.
I repeat: there is nothing different about mods that makes them break when compressed! They're resources like any other.
Something that is important to note, is that you should recompress when you tune a mod. Or modify a package file in general. Do that and it'll all be fine.
Tldr: stop telling ppl to leave their mods uncompressed. Compressing won't break them

DAY 2 - part 3 : Dig for your life !
DING DING DING ! Itās time for the first challenge of this show !
This first challenge consist in a digging challenge. The contestant who find the most expensive object will win immunity for the coming elimination, isnāt it nice ?
Again thanks to Katie_Catastrophe, as this first challenge is her idea. Again I really recommand you watch her videos ;)

Jisung, Myrtille and Pierre : a bone (55$) should i be worried to find so many bones, in such little space ?
Lauren : a vase (375$), I really thought she would win with this nice catch
Kimiko : Tiki idole (200$), I had high hope for her when i saw that statue
Johan : a map (400$), he was the last one to dug up something so i though it would be between Lauren and Kimiko, but like the first day he surprised me !
AND THE WINNER IS : JOHAN !
After the first day where he, surprinsingly, was the most popular, he proceed to win immunity for day 2. Johan in good position to make it to the final !
Lauren ?! And JISUNG ? WHAT ?! Really didnāt expect them to be the second couple to do it.Ā Ā
The day isnāt over and the contestants wonāt lose anymore time.Ā
Also I should mention that I have the baby lullaby disabled (and ACR) so some surprise babies might start to appear before the end of the show/challenge ?

As we enter DAY 2, we say goodbye to Amita and prepare for the first challenge of this show. For that, everybody must stay strong !
And to say I was afraid they wouldnāt eat on their own.... All they do is eat !
The only one whoās actually skills at barbecue and cooking in general is Pierre though. And thatās about the only thing he does in the house, cook.

DAY 1 - Whoās leaving us ?
Well, well, well... What a surprise !
I did NOT see that coming. Johan is the one with the most points, he got a somehow nice relationship with EVERYONE, except Pierre. And I was really baffled cause he spent most of the day playing pool by himself. It seemed that hanging out a little and breakfast together really worked for him...
On the other hand, really sad to say Amita is the first one to leave the Loft. It seemed she was to shy to speak to anyone except for Jisung and Johan, even when she hang out with Kimiko for a bit.Ā
See you soon for day 2, where Loft Story becomes Love story ....
