Once their guests make it into the backroom, and are seated, Stolas than flies from his perch in the main room and flies toward the kitchen area. Luckily there are other perches available for him, and he takes a moment to rest from in between the seat between Hiruko and Asutsuo, now tucking in his feathers for now.
âI almost did, but you know, nightmares of such delicacy are hard to come by, â Asutsuo counters while going back to the counter to where the tea kettle rests. Most of the treats have been set out, but the cups have not unfortunately. He then opens the cabinet doors and reaches inside to gather the fine tea set heâs managed to snag that was pretty good shape. He glances back toward Mär, with a smile in place. While he had the ability to probably bring someone in, tempt them to bring back their loved ones itâd would do nothing for him in the end.
âToo bad they couldnât come by today, the tale they had told me after I resurrected their dog seemed rather complex.â He then places the cups onto the counter, and it isnât too long till the kettle shrilly lets out a cry. âIâm certain that Hiruko would be a far better host than both of us, hm? Given the fact he resides and does business in a tea house. Speaking of teaââ are you going to have it black?â
And not some shop and apartment that Asutsuo had, while the other necromancer⌠he wasnât sure how he put his arrangements together. Itâs when Asutsuo goes back to pouring the tea, Stolasâs head turns toward the Baku, taking the opportunity to speak again.
ââŚThat would be helpful, I appreciate it, I havenât any need to leave to travel east after all,â A chuckle leaves from the old demon, and thereâs a glint of surprise in his beady black eyes. âWould you thenââ? Then itâd have to be chocolateâŚparfait, but normal would be fine too.âÂ
The owl glances toward the shadows, where spots Idoâs form creep in the shadows, he then return his attention back to the Baku and necromancer.

Still apparently rather enjoying his play-chastising, Mär remains reclined in his seat, caring not for proper posture in favour of his trivial righteousness. âSomething is better than nothing, is it notâŚ? Do correct me if Iâm mistaken, but I should think you, Hiruko, would even so prefer some average-tasting morsel than to go hungry until you return home.â Yes â he knows their friend to be a somewhat selective eater, if not fussy per se, but Asutsuoâs excuse remains poor by his reckoning. âUntil he is able to host the both of us, I still believe it proper to have something prepared for him for when he visitsâ Why, if I were the host, I would hold no qualms in inducing in myself some soul dream to provide for a friend.â
But he will take his tea black, he indicates with a sincerely grateful nod, before casting his eye to Hiruko.
ââŚÉŞá´ á´ is, for better or for worse, my own companion, familiar, partner-in-sacrilegeâŚâ the gentleman waves his hand dismissively, âhowever you should want to phrase it. Alas, he is rather less amiable than the good Stolas here, and I do not doubt his absence hitherto speaks volumes in favour of his unsociability.â Suffice it to say that he knows the demon better than anyone else, even if most is yet shrouded in mystery where even he is concerned. True though it is that heâs a less sociable sort, he knows ÉŞá´ á´ to prefer silent observation over even engaging chatter â whatever his ends may be.Â
âAnd yet, as if his words had intended all along to tempt and provoke the fiend from his hiding place in the shadows, a pair of luminous yellow eyes glisten from the shadows. The cat-demon does not reveal himself, true to form, but is not prevented from biting back even so:Â ă Insolent boy. You know well I have no need nor desire to be similarly plumped with flattery and sweet treats. ă
(âCase in pointâ, so Mär seems to say with a twinkle of a self-satisfied smile.)

He makes a mental note of the chocolate parfait for Stolas. Does Mizuki know how to make those? Well, she could learn. It would do business some good for her to expand her culinary repertoire. Having the good graces of a demon prince of hell would be quite the boon, too.
"Goodness, how frightening,â Hiruko comments after Marchenâs description. As frightening as demon-esque familiars could sound, at least. Not like he would know--he was the only one of the three without a partner. (Although, Namu tended to cling onto him every now and then back at the teahouse, but Namu hardly counts.) Perhaps it was a blessing, considering the malicious aura from the shadows.
âMm, must have its perks somehow. At least it would be better than the controlled chaos back home.â Really, how is it that his main network could cause such a ruckus every day? Sans Mizuki, they were all bad enough on their own. Together was just insufferable. He wonders if heâll take that when compared to this Ido character. âIn due time, Iâm sure we will be acquainted with one another. Thereâs no rush. Really, though--the task at hand. What shall we be discussing?â
