Evaluation
We can say we are satisfied with the design. The outcome is actually aesthetically pleasing. It has the vintage old ruins look in it. The artefact is sturdy but not much on the front part but enough to hold it together. The sorter part though is the hardest part for us because there are some circumstances we need to consider for it to successfully sort the balls.
It did not satisfy the design brief but we are working to make the project better. On the other hand, it does satisfy the evaluation criteria a bit. It did have a nice and presentable design. It works a little bit off but it does work. It has flaws that we are still working on.
The sorter part can still be improved and it’s also the most unexpected error. We do not have any unexpected benefits. As I have stated before, the project is really aesthetically pleasing. It is also ergonomically sound and well. We are a bit disappointed in the outcome but we think every mistake means another room for improvement and we will aim to make our project better for a second trial.

Brainstorming
General Ideas for project:
Make a pyramid a bulb that lights up when sorting process is finished.
The tip will serve as a primary container that is connected to the rest of the pyramid using a hinge.
The ramps inside will be like the traps inside a pyramid in fiction stories, there will be drawers at the base to collect the sorted balls.
Probable Measurements
60x60 square base
60cm tall from base to tip.

Investigation
Research:
Just like our design, this ball sorter has a unique shape that we are also aiming to have. We want to have a unique ball sorter of our own too.

Overall Progress (Sept. 3-6):
We finished the design brief up to the investigation. We are aiming to start building the ball sorter by next week, so we can be comfortable while doing it.

Project #1: Cardboard Based Ball Sorter
Design Brief:
In this project, we are aiming to meet the following criteria:
The ball sorter should...
Function properly
work efficeintly
satisfy the client’s request
Design Requirement:
Design, make and fit a simple device that will sort table tennis balls and marbles. From an elevated bin, the balls and marbles should travel a lane or chute down to another container.
The container or compartment should have two partitions: one for the table tennis ball and the other for the marbles.
Along the lane or chute, the balls and marbles should be able to sort until it reaches the compartment intended for each of them.
The artefact should be made of cardboard, illustration board, or chipboard.
Containers (bin and compartment) should not exceed twenty (20) centimeters in length, width, and height.
Length of the lane or chute varies depending on the design.
