Routine Run || Dani & Ian
Ian was pleasantly surprised when she called out to him, perhaps he dropped something? And then her lips were on his. Ian was just getting into the kiss when she pulled away. He smiled. âYouâre hot, too. And I havenât had many opportunities latelyâŚâ he kissed her again deeply, his hands holding her tiny waist. Fuck it felt good, just kissing someone. Ian moved to kiss along her neck, holding her close to him. She was right, he shouldnât let something like this go byâŚbut with the chance Walkers could show up, he wasnât going to hold his breath on getting laid. He pulled away to look in the woods, thinking he heard something. Instinctively, he turned them so he was between them and the woods, looking over his shoulder. He knew she could probably survive far better than him, and kick way more ass, but that was just the kind of person he was. Self sacrificing, wanting to be the knight in shining armor. He was a very protective person. He turned back to her. âI guess it was a bird.â He held her close, one arm around her waist and the other up her back before kissing her again. âSo, are we staying here, or is there someplace a bit more secure?â He said kissing along her neck again.
Yep, this was exactly what she needed right now. Just the basic, carnal desire of two people pressed together. It had been...well, it was enough to say that it had been a while. She smiled against his lips, tilting her head to give him full access to her throat. Her arms had snaked around his shoulders, one hand tangling in his dark hair while the other clutched the back of his neck.
She heard the noise as well, and froze, her hand going to unsnap the sheath holding her throwing knives. She noticed Ian put himself between her and the noise, and she did her best to suppress a smile. It was kind of cute, how he thought he would be able to protect her more than she could protect him. She relaxed when no Biter appeared, letting the smile show as Ian turned back to her, nodding her head gamely. "Yeah, I guess it was. Thanks, though, for protectin' me from that massive danger." She laughed lightly as they kissed again, once again allowing him as much access to her throat as he wanted.
She took only a moment before answering his question. "There are cabins not too far away. I don't know how secure we could really consider it, but most of them have four walls and some even have a lock on the door." Reluctantly, Dani pulled away from him and retrieved the water jugs before looking over her shoulder back at him and leading him along the shore towards the abandoned cabins. When they were almost at the nearest cabin that had the qualifications they were looking for, a Biter appeared out of the woods. Dani had been holding the two jugs in one hand, so that her other was free to release one of her throwing knives and sink it into the Biter's eye socket.
She quickly retrieved the blade and wiped it on her pants as she met back up with Ian at the front door of the cabin. "Reality of the world we live in." She shrugged, before reaching around him and opening the door. They were close enough to each other that she stole another quick kiss as they crossed the threshold. Without allowing Ian too much distance away from her, she set the jugs down on the table in the main room. Her hands now free, her arms wrapped themselves around his neck yet again, pulling him to her.
