Free Palestine!!! call your senators and representatives for a ceasefire. If you’re uncomfortable talking to a live person, call outside of office hours and leave a message on the answering machine. And if you’re not sure what to say, ceasefire today has a basic script written by Jewish Voice for Peace

I wish I would’ve been more active in the community when I was young! I remember it being probably 2008 and I’d see comments online like “are Davey and Jade together” and there’d be straight up fights in the replies, and I was too nervous to dig any deeper or get yelled at by strangers online. I still made some friends despite being late to the party, but I miss that sense of community.

My friend, Alli / @zebr-afi-sh , and i took the 4.5 hour drive on Monday after we were done with class and still managed to be almost 4 hours early and only 10 people from the front! We both just had sweaters since they’re easier to tie around your waist, and it was 20 degrees warmer in the cities than it had been back on campus.

About 2 hours before doors, they started soundchecking, and i started freaking out because they are inside the building we’re standing against. Like, they’re really in there. We could feel the sound vibrating the walls a little bit, and the people around us started getting excited too.

After doors, I made her stand and hold our spots (second to the rail!!!!) while i ran and bought shirts. We rolled them up and crammed them in my sweater pocket and hoped for the best. The crowd / we were good to the opening acts, but Alli and I were impatient. After The Chain Gang, Alli was like “uh, slight problem, I need to pee,” but neither of us wanted to leave our spots.
