People who say CPTSD isn’t real because it’s not in the DSM-5 are such posers. Same if you say that it’s not real cause it’s not diagnosed in war survivors.
All respect to war vets but world war one and two combined were shorter lived than my childhood, and most of other people with CPTSD’s childhoods. Thats WHY it’s complex. Yeah they were way scarier but that’s the point of Complex PTSD. It’s formed from trauma lasting longer periods or multiple similar incidents. It’s more complex than PTSD with unpredictable triggers.
