hi everyone! i was blessed enough to be given the opportunity to work with Eater on creating a series about immigrant cuisine and ensuring we hear the stories behind them! this is the first episode - please watch, share, vote up, comment nice things and let me know what you think!

i don’t mean to get emotional (read: i always get emotional) but this is so important to me - showcasing immigrant and poc voices, especially in a food industry that keeps trying to divorce them from their food, is something i’ve been trying my best to do and this is hopefully the first of many instances in which i can help do that.

i think food is so important and it is both emotionally important and socioeconomically important and even though visibility doesn’t do much to address the latter, i hope it is a start.
