there really was this beautiful period in the early 2000s where cgi was just coming into its own but there was still so much work with practical effects and miniatures and real sets that created some of the most wonderful, gorgeous, amazing movies of our time (lotr, narnia, potc, peter pan) and like yeah we can still have that today and we still have good movies today but it will never be quite the same or on the same scale and idk i mourn that sometimes. but I'm also so glad i was alive to see it happen

You think you don’t do racist things, homophobic things, etc? You do. I caught myself in fat phobic and homophobic lines of thinking/speech just this morning. I’m fucking gay married. Nothing disqualifies you from acting in a way that reflects the society you exist in. We are obliged to fight it. Why not fight it in honesty and with camaraderie?
