The Cry Scale

For those who have been in the TTRPG Podcast community for a while you'll know this one. The final installment of the TAZ came out, this marks an end of a "era" to me. I listened to TAZ Balance when it only 10 episodes in and Google Play Music was still a thing. It helped me escape from the darkest parts of my life and it made me cry multiple times. I can remember 3 of those times off the top of my head: Merle's The First Church of Fungston, John's Beach, and Magnus reuniting with Julia. For most of what a majority of people call Balance there were more laughs than tears and now 2 of those scenes were adapted into the comic version of this wonderful story. While the adaptation is not perfect, as nothing can be perfect, I am overall satisfied with the gift TAZ fans were given. This is proven true as I cried just as hard at the Beach and Julia parts of the comic. During the Beach scene my eyes were moist and my throat ached a bit and then my entire face ached with the force my tears poured out during the Julia section. I don't know how readers whose first experience with this story is the comic feel but I feel settled and satisfied. I will be reliving this story again. It hold a very special place in my heart as my introduction to both TTRPGs and story driven podcasts. 1000000000000+/10 Cried just as hard in a different format, will cry hard every time.

Do be careful watching VTM content it is about vampires and comes with everything related to them. On a side note: It sucks that Jason Carl won't be the GM for World of Darkness anymore (though I am glad he gets to work at his dream job now). We won't be getting anymore NY by Night content (it will remain unfinished). This song started playing as I was getting ready to take notes. Instantly teared up. Not even 6 seconds into the song yet. 10/10 will always listen to this song again.

I watched this when it first came out and it destroyed me. It has beautiful animation and an emotion heavy story. I love it so much I want to rewatch it BUT it hurts too much even after several years. Listening to the opening and ending songs still make tears well up. Seeing that stupid mustached man fills me with too much rage and disgust. Thinking about the ending has my heart hurting. 100/10 makes me cry without even watching it again WARNING: If you want to watch this please find and read its content warnings. This anime is filled with some very heavy and intense subject matter. Watching it while in a low headspace is not a good idea.

The Colors Within made me cry happy and sad tears! I felt the love portrayed in this film. Very cozy and wholesome love. The ending did make me tear up but not devasted sad tears more like bittersweet sad tears. If there is a sequel in the future I would watch it. If this is based on a light novel or manga I would like to read it. 10/10 would vibe with it again
