If she were a bit bigger, Occtis would elbow her. As it is, he just rolls his eyes again, and takes enough air into his lungs to quickly blow it in her face, messing up her hair.
“You know the answer to that,” he replies.
“Sure, he’s pretty, but that’s not enough to marry him!”
Occtis rolls his eyes again. They’ve had this conversation at least twice before, and the answers haven’t changed in any meaningful way. Thimble just likes to needle, he knows this.

my favorite thing about navigating fanfiction is finding a really good one and being all “oh boy this was good, I hope they have more!” and literally every other story they’ve ever written was for like Miami Vice
