They could have played a old couple of Hobbits.
people are so contradictory in their premises, and don't even realize it
“A contradiction cannot exist. An atom is itself, and so is the universe; neither can contradict its own identity; nor can a part contradict the whole. No concept man forms is valid unless he integrates it without contradiction into the total sum of his knowledge. To arrive at a contradiction is to confess an error in one’s thinking; to maintain a contradiction is to abdicate one’s mind and to evict oneself from the realm of reality.”
Learn to value yourself, which means: fight for your happiness.

You wanted “net-neutrality” and government controls? You got it!
I’m sure it’s just 332 pages explaining how they’re going to keep the internet free and keep big telecom in check. They just wanted to be really thorough with it because they care.
It’s just a loose guide.
It will treat the Internet like all those other government regulated bastions of consumer choice, flexibility, privacy and responsive service.
Like here in my city. I have a choice of one gas & electric company and a choice of one water company. It’s great!
When my utility bills spike or a new charge is introduced I have nothing to worry about because I have no recourse. Awesome. And the corporations have nothing to worry about either because I’m part of a cornered market! Woo hoo!
In fact LG&E was purchased by some European energy giant just a few years ago. Now they have even less reason to care and they’ve proven it by dumping coal ash into the Ohio River.
They get a mulligan though, after all what can me and the peeps do about it? It’s pretty cold here in winter.
I am an Objectivist.
Does this statement apply to you? Reblog it and be counted. More information here.
In order to restore balance to my dashboard, I’m going on a following spree.
Please reblog if you are a Capitalist, a Republican, a Conservative, a Thatcherist, an Objectivist, or a Confederate/Southerner.
I will follow you.

You should always tip in cash to help your server commit tax fraud.
If you want to influence a country’s intellectual trend, the first step is to bring order to your own ideas and integrate them into a consistent case, to the best of your knowledge and ability. This does not mean memorizing and reciting slogans and principles, Objectivist or otherwise: knowledge necessarily includes the ability to apply abstract principles in specific issues, to demonstrate them, and to advocate a consistent course of action. This does not require omniscience or omnipotence; it is the subconscious expectation of automatic omniscience in oneself and in others that defeats many would-be crusaders (and serves as an excuse for doing nothing). What is required is honesty–intellectual honestly, which consists of knowing what one does know, constantly expanding one’s knowledge, and never evading or failing to correct a contradiction. This means: the development of an active mind as a permanent attribute.
