Y en mi noche final en Barcelona necesitó dar mis gracias a la ciudad y la gente que han hecho este semestre lo mejor que podría ser. En la mañana que viene yo regresaré a Nueva York pero un parte de mi vida siempre quedará aquí. (at Plaça de Catalunya)

Amsterdam
Amsterdam somehow managed to be more cold than Berlin was two weeks prior. It was also amazing in a completely different manner. Where Berlin was austere, somewhat empty, and rooted in architecture built following World War II, much of Amsterdam was the opposite, however equally beautiful. Most of the buildings on the canals dated hundreds of years back and featured absolutely immense windows relative to the size of the building. Fun fact: the reason why the windows are so large is that, due to the short width and depth of the buildings, which cause the stairs to be incredibly steep and small, the windows were made large so that should furniture need to be moved into a building, it could be done so via the large windows. This is also why many of the buildings have pulleys that jut out over the tops of the buildings.
P.S. I love canals.
This airport is far too large for it’s country. #Schipool
