Light of My lion. 10/10. The child playing lion.... ADORABLE and his last scene πππ. All the actors were phenomenal and it's well written.
Although the cultural differences and how the justice system handles things is vastly different from what I'm used too. I'm glad we got a happy ending!!!!
Our Youth really stuck the landing. I loved Minase's evolution from repressed, lonely teenager to a young man still struggling with where he fits in the world but secure in his love and his partner. I loved Hirukawa's journey from hopeless, abused teenager with a one-sided crush to confident young man settled in his love.
There was no bl bubble in this show, and it's especially hard on Minase, dealing with all of the weddings and expectations while not being ready to come out of the closet. I appreciate that Hirukawa set up an opening for Minase to tell his friends, but then backed off when Minase wouldn't take it. He's in it for the long haul, including the time it will take waiting for Minase to come around (if he ever does).
It was sweet and unflinching all the way through. A bit of a gentle version of Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo. I want to hug the whole show.

The wrap up of Miseinen has divided opinion, but I loved the visceral, vulnerability of this series.
It felt real.
And although it wasnβt perfect in its pacing and storytelling at times, this one really latched onto something in my soul.
I loved it.
Caged Again
I fully understood the hype... I've been seeing posts on people losing their mind about how surprising the show is. And I totally get it
Never in my life have I imagined I will lose my mind over a romance between a penguin and panther.. But here we are..
The premise is absurd. But the execution is really good. Junior with big brown eyes and Sun with his brooding panther face..and the cutest ghost/goddess ever (Im afraid I'm falling for her).
I love it
10/10 would recommend

I think the true message of 4 Minutes is feed your cat good cat food, use sunscreen to avoid getting skin cancer, and have safe protected sex.
I love the finale!!!!!! It answered everything. Everyone got their karma. Tonkla and Korn had a decent end/restart. I wanted that because I knew Tonkla wouldn't get it in life. Korn would have been alone without him and truthfully I was one of the audience who always felt Korn truly loved Tonkla but was too weak to go against his parents. So I'm glad they got their Romeo and Juliet ending. It was peak tragic romance.
Great is now a new man! He is super honest and even keeping Tyme in check! He is thankful and they get to live out their romance alive!!! All he wanted was true love and he got it! He almost died for it but obviously worth it for him!
The writing and directing were AMAZING!!!!The only place I felt didn't do justice was how it was promoted. They probably should have promoted both couples because ultimately 1 survives and the other stays in 4 min heaven but both were integral and impactful. I get that Bible was the big name as he should be, but the other couple carried their own weight!
Also it has been super fun reading theories and thoughts in the tumblr community for this show. Good writing and acting make it fun!I will miss it, until next time.
4 minutes karma
Great > shot for being an accessory to Dome's death
Tyme> shot due to his vengeful scheme that got ithers hurt
Grandma >shot for just letting Tyme go on with his scheme
Predictions
Tonkla will probably be shot by Win because he has shot/killed 3 people for vengeance and you don't get away scot free in Thai shows. ( But I'm all for him getting 4 minutes power and living a happier life that way)
Korn will probably just be poor / left with no one or get shot by Ton kla
Great's parents > probably arrested or killed
Random business partner that just showed up and is killing Tyme and killed his family > will die somehow
The other doctor/ friend will get the happiest ending with the other 4 min patient because he is the most innocent in the entire series. He brings me a breath of air each scence.
Theory: 2 time lines
Great is dying and right before knocked unconscious learns the truth from Tyme. So now while in cardiac arrest he relives the past and he is changing his decisions to support Tyme's mission and also save lives of other people he just let passively die. He realizes how passive he was and if he had been more aware and acted he could not only save Tyme but others involved that were connected to Tyme getting hurt.
Everything we see from Tonkla is the reality that has already happened when Great did not act.

In Her Hands
So I am writing this after seeing NOTHING about Massoum on the internet. This documentary is good, hard but good. I see critiques that feel like it was an "attempt" or "misguided." But I think it is realistic for a slice of life for a 26 yo women in Afghanistan. It's difficult to watch because she is a HUMAN. She is not perfect and she is still figuring things out like any 26 yo. A big example is the sudden break from Massoum was not ideal for a documentary as it made the protagonist not "pure and good". I bet the two are about the same age. He seemed like a beautiful soul, a rose growing in concrete. Although I hate how things ended between them they both were in charge of their families at that point. Zarifa felt like her fathers death was on her and she had to look after her mother and ALL of her siblings who were freaking planning how they'd commit if they were captured!!! So I don't fault her. Massoum had a daughter that he had to survive for whatever it took, despite this I never felt he truly changed his principles. Which I admired despite him being left in hell. I wish them all the best and if anything the movie showed that there are both men and women who could lead Afghanistan to a better future.

Omg Minnal Murali is soooo good. I did not expect the movie to be so well written for a super hero movie. India has its first superhero and the movie is Malayalam and not Bollywood which may have saved it from too many corny scence(there were a few). The hero and villain were well written. At the beginning I was nervous that it was going to be corny but omg we came back into the 21st century with a somewhat complex villain, a hero who has a story to becoming a hero and even a female lead/gf fit for the 21st century. It was a proper attitude at a superman of India and it was obvious that it was homage to this hero and a few others but not an exact copycat. The cast was brilliant from top to bottom and did a great job conveying comedy, drama, and overall story telling. Also I loved watching the little Indian girls and boys that were brown and black look up to a hero that looked like them. Representation matters!!!
A boy called Christmas
My favorite Christmas movie on Netflix this year so far. The scene where the youngest of the 3 kids listening AKA "Moppet" says his heart is still broken from his mother dying but he loves her with all the pieces got me.
The movie is overall solid and full of magic and wonder! Perfect for Christmas.
