Within each energetic layer, there is a primary challenge to work through; and for Root Chakra, that challenge is fear. The origins of fear are different for each of us, just as the subject of our fears is different. A little bit of fear living in our root chakra is healthy… If we tried to rid ourselves of all of our fears, we would be living very dangerous and unhealthy lives. We would take unnecessary risks that could lead to death or destruction. But to have fears that are so overpowering that it holds us back from experiencing life, ultimately stagnates energy. ​ An important task for us in the root realm of energy is to consider which of our fears is healthy and which ones are tethering us to a life that is not adequately serving our energetic balances. From there, we can begin a quest of overcoming fears and stepping out of those comfort zones that hinder us.
