Clothing company Patagonia is currently sueing drag queen Pattie Gonia for "irreparable” harm to their brand.

To be clear; Pattie named herself after the region in South America.

So Pattie is asking people to politely ask Patagonia to drop the lawsuit.

I'm extending the invitation to all of you, because sueing a drag queen for 'infringement' in the current political cultural landscape is vile. Especially a drag queen who has raised millions of dollars for non-profits, uses her platform to raise awareness for climate activism, and fully aligns with Patagonia's apparent climate-conscious mission statement.

They're claiming they're sueing for $1. They're actually asking her to stop using her name, and pay over $1 million in legal fees. They're straight up harassing her.

In contrast, drag queen Jan Sport has a Jansport bag line. It's that easy to just... work with a queen.

Anyway. Be respectful(ish), but feel free to be annoying on Patagnoia's socials, asking them to 'DROP THE LAWSUIT'

i'm not really seeing anyone on here talking about it unfortunately, but a 19 year old trans woman was recently (may 10th 2026) stabbed to death in seattle. she has not been publicly identified by name yet.

the university of washington is inviting a detransitioner from TPUSA (chloe cole) to speak at an event barely even days after this young woman was murdered on campus. walk-outs and protests are planned.

Scroll the reblogs on the announcement for good points to raise. If nothing else, according to Tumblr’s own policy you have to be 13 years old to make an account, so any account that was made more than 5 years ago must be at least 18 years of age or is already breaking policy, thereby making it not Tumblr’s problem.

To continue our commitment to user safety and to comply with local laws, we will start using age groups to determine access to certain experiences.

People in Brazil or in the UK, who are 18 or older, will soon need to verify their age to change content label settings and view mature-labeled content. Until then, the settings will be locked to hide.

As a reminder, verification is handled by our age-assurance partner, k-ID. Tumblr won't have access to the information you submit, just the final age-verification result. Documents are deleted after confirmation, and facial scan data never leaves your device. 

What are we verifying our ages for? Pornography, gambling and other 18-rated content isn't allowed on Tumblr in the first place

The "mature content" flagging system is notoriously inadequate:

"Mature content" flags have been observed incorrectly applied more frequently to content and blogs belonging to marginalised people (especially trans women and people of colour)

Content-less reblogs have been flagged as "mature content", while the original remains unflagged

Posts talking about racism, sexism, and other forms of discrimination have been flagged as "mature content"

Posts about the inadequacies of the mature content system have been flagged as "mature content"

Picture containing edited images of text (specifically "drowned" screenshots) have been flagged as "mature content"

Infamously, pictures of sand dunes have been flagged as "mature content"

Meanwhile, adverts on Tumblr are not subject to the same restrictions as posts

In addition to this, there is an inherent danger in uploading government ID online and encouraging it is encouraging users to take a significant risk with potential lifelong repercussions. k-ID has had data breaches in the past and will inevitably have them again, and using a social media website simply isn't worth the trade-off. I am not alone in saying that I would rather not use Tumblr than have my government ID exposed to the world.

As an alternative: Tumblr's ToS require users to be 13 or older. Any account that is over five years old can, therefore, be assumed to be owned by an adult. Failing that, users can make a one-off peppercorn payment in the TumblrMart using a credit card. Those methods are at least as accurate as an AI assessment of (what the user claims is) the user's face.
