Every day I wear brands that I can’t afford. The only reason I can wear these clothes is that I’ve taken the time to learn how to obtain the best clothing at a price I can afford, and I’ve put in time that most people don’t have to find them. Because my skin isn’t brown, no one gives me a second thought. But, apparently, that wouldn’t be the case if I were a person of color in the Netherlands. I pray that this policy idea dies a quick death.
